This is an unusual hotel with some very trendy touches (e.g. the orchid in the glass case next to the lift) and some not so trendy (e.g. the lift!). I have no complaints about the place, apart from the bathroom being very small. It is located close to a tram stop and only a short journey from Essen city centre. Within a reasonably close distance to many major walking routes in the Rurh region that are an attractive surprise to this largely industrial area.

Good breakfast but they could be quicker at replacing food items that have been finished by other guests.

Seems there are different room categories - the pictures posted are not for the standard rooms.
