We ate in the hotel's restaurant as most other places in Essen were fully booked as it was the time of Techno Classica. The restaurant is upstairs with views over the station so is in a very central location. The service was very attentive and the food excellent. I especially enjoyed my warm berry pudding!

I was impressed by the amount of space available in the room. Everything modern and plenty of tv channel options. And a couple of complimentary chocolates! Three hours of free internet time was perfect. Cool bar too...

We always take the Junior Suite . It is cheaper than taking two Roms and of course more fun. They throw in a €15 Voucher or Free minibar which makes it really wortwhile. Lots of shopping nearby. This is a very well-run hotel and you could not be more central in Essen. It is literally across the street from the main train station, which has direct links to Dusseldorf Airport. Very good breakfast buffet, quick and efficient check-in and check-out. I imagine most people are here for business, as I was.
