I have stayed at this family hotel on many previous occasions. It is friendly and good value. The only negative criticism I would make is that the restaurant menu is extremely limited and has not changed for years - of course you can always go out to another restaurant, to eat at night but I am always too tired to...

I've been visiting Essen for an annual trade fair since 2001 and stayed here many times. If you're looking for an excellent value hotel with a nice little restaurant and a helpful front desk in a quiet location then Hotel Korn is a very good choice. The rooms are smallish and they are not overly plush but they are decent....
