We spent only one night in this hotel but very much enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were very friendly, the hotel lobby spacious and welcoming, the rooms looked recently refurbished and were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel's location wasn't perfect as it's not in Essen's CBD but rather on the other side of the railway tracks... More

Great Hotel, kidsloved it, we find the staff frendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this modern, clean and well situated hotel. Its not far from the centre, about a 20 minute walk and parking is good. The hotel is approx 500m from lots of restraunts.

I booked 2 rooms and checked in was a breeze, they were not busy at all. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a 50th wedding anniversary. When we got in the room, the normal amenities were lacking such as shampoo, lotion, shower cap, etc. I called reception and they were delivered pronto. When I used the lotion, we were... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a HolidayLine.be package. We paid about 99 euro each, and breakfast was included in our stay. When we arrived, the hotel looked fairly typical. It does provide underground parking for guests (for a price...16 euro per day, but it's gated and literally RIGHT next to the... More

Hotel is located walking distance from Essen train station. Altough the hotel is nearby, it's still on "wrong" side of the station compared to the downtown. There's nothing much nearby the hotel if you want to eat something else than at the hotel restaurant. Alleys smell anoyingly of cigarette smoke. Really good parking hall if you're travelling by car.

Good place for Dusseldorf trade show visitors, convenient entrance and exit to the city. the hotel is located in a quiet place, yet close to the center of Essen, restaurants and shopping (Galeria kaufhof).

Easy access from the train station. Efficient and courteous staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Quiet rooms overlooking the courtyard. Had to pay 9 Euro/day for wifi access which I felt was a bit out of date but free access to the hotel computer helped.good room service, very clean and cozy rooms.

The hotel decor is circa 1980s so despite large rooms it is quite basic. However, we spent less than twelve hours here and for purposes it did he job. We had a balcony but we were connected to other rooms so it was not private. We are Accor members and there was no Sofitel. This is perhaps fairly 'no frills'... More
