We utilised Das Mutterhaus for an overnight stay last week when the Dusseldorf airport Security staff strike made us delay our flight plans and have to find at short notice a low cost hotel close to the airport. A colleague who lives locally recommended this one. I believe it primarily functions as a conference venue but for a bed for... More

The hotel is run as a hotel and conference centre in a historic building that used to be a convent. Its in a nice village just outside of Dusseldorf. Its close to the airport (EUR 15 taxi) but very quiet. The hotel is well run and well equiped and furnishe dwith period furniture. Some have said its spartan but I... More

Dat Mutterhaus Hotel is built in a historic building, built around 1830. It has a rich history and still breathes the air of a rich past. The hotel is conveniently located just NorthWest of the airport. Surrounded by a park like setting and settled in a cute little village this hotel is sure to offer a unique experience. The rooms... Came with work and found it very friendly and peaceful. The rooms are large and interesting if a little bit spartan which maybe stops it being 5*- overall though very comfortable. Good bathroom facilities and the buffet breakfast is very good. In lovely grounds. It is about €15 taxi from the airport. We spent the stay wondering what the building... More

Came here to attend an on-site company conference. Architecture is interesting, reception perfectly adequate, rooms spacious, if a bit spartan, and showers very refreshing. Breakfasts are plentiful and with a varied choice. Location is nice and quiet yet very close to Dusseldorf airport. Restaurants and other facilities not far away and easily within walking distance. A couple of downsides -... More

This is one of my favourite hotels so far since travelling on business with my work. The hotel is in a lovely old building full of character. The rooms were very nice and clean. I had a great sleep due to it being very quiet, and a very comfortable bed! Will definitely be staying there again if I'm visiting Düsseldorf.

Hotel is situated just 20 minutes or so from the Duesseldorf airport. ABC bus took me to the Klemensplatz, from there just 5 minutes on foot. This hotel is more like a huge conference center with very pleasant rooms. It is so quiet here that I was almost anxious sometimes to go out and meet people. Not one peep at... More

Stayed in Mutterhaus Hotel again during Intercool fair. Personell very friendly, rooms big, modern but a bit spartan. The park with the old trees around this hotel very relaxing and helps to sleep undisturbed. Breakfast buffet not too big, but of excellent quality, some organic things, loads of fresh breads, fruits and even fresh garden mint to brew a tea!

Updated convent in the middle of a leafy hospital complex but very convenient to airport and downtown by bus or train. Calm, simple yet comfortable hotel with only basic catering facilities however the village is only 5 minutes walk away for restaurants and bars. Only small complaint was trying to park during the day when the few spaces can be... More

Hotel (more like a B&B) with charm, fusion of old and new. Situated in a suburb of Düsseldorf, very close to S-Bahn, good connections to Düsseldorf Fairgrounds. Hotel is a former cloister, in a park, surrounded by big trees, therefore very quiet at night. Rooms are modern with some antique furnitures, modern bathrooms. Good breakfast buffet. Hotel also has Meeting... More
