Sad to say that whilst staying here for the fesitval, I left two silver, bracelets that were given to me by my children, on the bedside table. I only was gone from the hotel for about an hour when I realized I'd left them behind. Despite three phone calls - they were never returned. No-one seemed to want to talk to me about it. From a monetary perspective, they weren't that expensive - just a few hundred pounds. From a sentimental perspective - they're priceless. I'm devasted. No one seemed particularly bothered or wanted to help me. Would NOT recommend. Ever.

Poor standards on pretty much everything. Small room, crappy bed, furniture from 20th century, and minimalist breakfast. Plus for central location and service at the reception. Not worth it and will recommend to look for alternatives.

Only booked it as it was about the only room available in the city. No bar, restaurant or other facilities. Tiny room, dated and noisy. No shower curtain no toiletries or anything else really. Worth about £25 a night at best

The location of this hotel was very good but our room was not that great. We had a weird lock system on our door which was pretty difficult to figure out. we had to ask the receptionist but why didn't she tell us in the first place? The beds were really uncomfortable, the mattress was really thin. The Wifi was also bad.

I was really woried after read reviews here. Although some equipment was old, the bed was comfortable, clean, I could not hear the noise from the street (I stayed in the 6th floor) and the room smelled nice. The location of the hotel is excellent due to the nearby main train station, to the Rhine river and the old part of city.

Left Burns Art hotel for this one, when i first arrive, find tht at least the windows are secured, more safety, and no leak in of cold air. OK. But that nightmare starts, I'm on a non-smoking floor, someone has been turning on the disco music and smoking something, till 11pm. Tried to call the reception, turn out i discover the telephone has NO CONNECTION LINE. Nothing attached to the wall i mean, no cable. Just a phone putting there, don't know for what. No one seems to care, despite i was on the 1st floor. Don't want to walk to the counter and bring the staff up, or else they'll know for sure it's me who complain. The worst part is, i switched off my lights to try and go to sleep anyway. Then i saw a shadow of a big insect, running across of my desk, towards my packed food. Suspect to be a mouse. Switch on the lights and cannot see it. So just push the rubbish bin to the corner for whatever it is to eat. Put on all my clothes and wallet to sleep, in case i have to run. Next morning i still didn't see the creature, but stepped on a mosquito with enormously long legs.

Would only recommend this hotel for those that fully understand that you get what you pay for. Spent 3 nights there. Thin duvet and pillow but done the job as we had several drinks before we went to bed!!! Mac Donald's next door for breakfast and a kebab shop for that early morning meal.....Not far to the town center and train station. Wifi a bit bad.

The room was tired, the TV didn't work, the lights in the hall didn't work so it was dark when you arrived on your floor which was off putting. The receptionist guy was quite rude and unhelpful. I paid 220 euro's for two nights without breakfast so not the cheapest. Worst of all was when I checked out the lift was broken and I had to drag my case down 6 flights of stairs. I left early and I couldn't make out why the lift was not working and reception did not answer the phone. Overall it was one of the worst hotels I have every stayed in.

Poor mattress condition, poor room condition, tv not working. Poor service. How this kind of hotel still exist and surviving in this modern world. I feel like I am in the 1970s staying in this hotel. Never had a good night sleep for the past 5 nights there due to the poor mattress condition. That’s a Macdonald next to the hotel and a nice kebab shop. Not near and train station or tube. You have to walk 15mins to HBF. The service at the KAMPS bread store is so much better than the hotel. Don’t bother to pay for hotel breakfast and is easier to find bakery or cafe near the hotel.
