This hotel has much to recommend it, being an attractive old building in a lovely, pedestrianised area between the Rhine and the Aldstadt. But our double room was cramped, with a tiny shower room. Certainly very quiet. But slept poorly on pillows that were like cotton sacks filled with old tights. Two single beds pushed together, the only cover being... More

Location is great for Christmas Markets and Old Town. Hotel is in a beautiful old building which adds character and charm. Rooms & bathrooms are small although well appointed. No parking you have to park at the parking garage about 3mins walk from hotel. breakfast is continental and ok. For the price and location (if you are there for Christmas... More

On a walking distance of nearly all attractions in Düsseldorf, in a nice quiet area. Nightlife is only at a 5 minutes walk but all you hear in your room is silence. Beautiful building although inside maybe a little sterile (it looks like you are entering an art gallery, which somehow is true). The rooms are warmly decorated with great... More

No matter where you want to stay in Alt Statt Düsseldorf parking is a problem - at Orangerie too. But if that doesn't matter the hotel is placed excellent. About 2 minutes walk to Rheinufer and 5-10 min walk to middle of Old Town.Yet the area is quiet in the night - nice. The rooms and the cleaning is fine.The... More

We spent one night. Nice location in the "altstadt" close to the Rhine. Parking is though bothersome and expensive in the nearby parking house 28euro for the night. Breakfast was ok. If you come without car this would suit people looking for a quiet place.

I have stayed here thrice over a period of 4 years and it hasn't changed a bit over this time- which is a good thing. My last visit was on 1st of April 2014. Its a quaint little hotel nested in a quite lane in the old part of city of Dusseldorf (so discrete that you will have to search... More

We recently spent three nights at this lovely hotel in Dusseldorf's Alstadt. It's tucked away on a very quiet side street, but still in the heart of everything. Our room faced onto a small courtyard, and was tastefully decorated. It's ideal for a short stay as you're within walking distance of Dusseldorf's numerous shops and bars.

This hotel is so charming. What a great change from those large chain hotels. I walked to the hotel from the train station (about 20 minutes). The hotel is off to the side of a cobble stone street. The receptionist was extremely helpful and I was able to get into my room at 11 am even though check-in tome is... More

We had two overnight stays at the Hotel Orangerie--one at the start of our trip and one at the end. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast which is included was excellent. Also the hotel's location couldn't be more perfect for the Alt Stadt. It's our choice when in Dusseldorf
