We visited during the EuroShop 2008 when all hotels in the city were charging high rates. We got a 3 star hotel for a really expensive price with not much thrown in. The only really convenient thing about this hotel was that there was a small kitchennete in the room, so one could rustle up a meal after getting back... more

Easy to find with car. Free parking directly before hotel. Friendly and enthousiastic reception personnel. Big comfortable room. Self cooking possible in hotelroom. The price is big plus. Within 16 minutes by one and the same bus (almost at frontdoor hotel) in shopping centre Düsseldorf. No cab price € 18.- but € 4.40 for a couple. Next time hotel in... more

This hotel was quite basic but clean & worth the very low price we paid. Bed was comfortable & room was fairly large. Very small bar. The hotel is a long way from the centre of the city but close to a train station. Unfortunately the train wasn't running for most of our stay. Dusseldorf was a nice city to... more

My wife and I just left this hotel after a three night stay. Overall, it was a nice stay. Even though it's suposed to be a non-smoking hotel, they allow smoking in the bar area which is directly across from the reception area. In addition, you can smell the smoke in the hallways. The breakfast each morning was fine. A... more

Acora is truly a little gem for the price. The receptionists were very friendly and spoke excellent English. They recommended some restaurants in the area that proved to be very nice. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of fresh choices to suit different appetites. Rooms are fairly large and at least ours had a nice balcony. TV could have been a... more

Can only confirm the previous reviews. Everything about this hotel is first class. Room with small kitchenette and balcony was an unexpected bonus. Bit of a pain getting from the main railway station to the hotel as work was being carried out on the rail line. Best to get a taxi for about 16 euros to avoid any hassle. Bus... more

Fantastic hotel - cheap, clean and easy to reach by public transport with the S6 line from Duesseldorf city centre. Staff were fantastic and the breakfast buffet had an excellent selection. I would happily stay there again, and recommend others to do so too. Only thing to note about this hotel is that it's not in central Duesseldorf - a... more

Good for the price. Room comfortable with balcony and plenty of space. Staff helpful and efficient. Arrived quite late but desk recommended a pizza restaurant which delivered to the room complete with wine!! Close to Autobahn and shops. Watch out for speed cameras! more

I have just spent 3 nights in Hotel Acora. Room: good size, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast: absolutely superb - especially the chicken wings & fried potatoes! Location: a few km from the center (Altstadt) area, but there is a good bus service (785) running every 20 minutes. The hotel is in the middle of a residential area,... more

I can only add to what the other 2 reviewers have already stated - the Acora is a great little hotel and very good value. The staff were indeed friendly and helpful; the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, with tea-coffee making facilities, a safe (no extra charge) and a neat kitchenette hidden in a cupboard; the bathrooms clean and adequate,... more
