The hotel is convenient for the main train station, and a 10-15 min walk from town centre. It is situated near a busy road which can cause traffic noise late into the night. The staff are very helpful and polite and the room was cleaned well. The rooms are average in size and very bland in decor. The air con... more

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel as a romantic getaway, to see Dusseldorf itself and generally unwind. We drove there expecting poor traffic and lack of parking, but both were excellent (Dussldorf and Germany are a doddle to drive in anyway) and they have their own secure parking both in front of the hotel and in an underground car... more

A modern hotel with a japanese flair. We were four guys on a golf weekend, and this was without question a higher standard for the price than we are used to. The rooms were modern and clean. The only downside was the cost of partking which was 15 Euro per night. It is a 15 minute walk from the old... more

We stayed at the Asahi Hotel in Düsseldorf for four nights in August 2008. We chose this hotel because it is located close to the central railway station in Düsseldorf. However, the area around railway stations is often not the most salubrious and we soon discovered that this hotel appears to be in the red light district, which made us... more

From the outside it seems a bit quirky and it is. The bar area is small and almost part of the reception desk. You get in the elevator and think "oh dear". You get to your room and you think "wow!". I may have been lucky but my room was massive. A separate lounge, a huge bathroom, and a sizeable... more

I recently stayed at the Asahi Hotel for one night. The hotel is a modern high rise building located just a five minute walk from the Dusseldorf main railway station where both the street cars and subway system will get you to anywhere in Dusseldorf you want to go. All of the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. The... more

Minimalist rooms with Japanese flavor are spacious and very clean, as was the large, well-equipped bathroom. Beds are firm, plenty of closet space. Generous breakfast in room with big windows - no basement dining here ! Desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Americans looking for good value shouldn't be put off by clean but rather dim lobby [too much flourescent... more

Although staff was brilliant, it reflects badly on the hotel, if 2 (or 3) room changes are required: First, I had to mention that I did book a suite / penthouse type room, which was great in termas of watching the sunset but unfortunately, due to parts of the hotel being in part of a residential bulding, it cheapens the... more

An acceptable hotel all in all, but not for the price. If you're a businessman you'll be glad for the wifi-internet untill you find out it is a T-mobile hotspot and you'll be charged a fair amount on your creditcard. The hotel doesn't even provide wifi adapters. The sauna was hot to be sure but the fact that almost no... more

Enjoyed the stay and the helpfulness of the staff was evident at all levels. The after care service was where they really pushed out the boat and made the effort. I lost a shopping bag they located it at the store, collected it and shipped it on charging only for shipping and a 5% service charge. I would recommend Asahi... more
