I booked 2 nights at the Drei Kronan and that was 2 nights too many. Bathroom was unbelievably cold, noise from adjacent rooms and stairway and corridors was constant. The building is old and of poor standard (no longer fit for purpose)and it is necessary to climb a flight of 20 stairs from the road to reception. I also suffered... More

I booked a two-night, break at this hotel for the recent Germany v Scotland football game... but we never even entered the building. Having arrived in Dortmund, the two of us headed for the hotel and, on the way, called in at the local police station to enquire if we were heading in the right direction. The desk officer told... Spent Friday 5th Sept, to Tuesday 9th Sept with my 2sons for the football match Germany vScotland. We found the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The one thing I did miss was my English breakfast, you can't beat a good fry up to start the day, but hey we are in Germany.

I am upset of that hotel. I booked room for my colleague in March 2014 for 11 nights. The business trip was cancelled and I cancell reservation after 2 days later in our servation system. It was 4 days before her arrival. The hotel charged higher amount than was in original reservation. Mrs. Nitescu informed us that reservation was not... More

This is a good value hotel in close to the city centre of Dortmund. It is a 10 minute walk from the City Centre bust station. The hotel is in the 'Turkish quarter'. Do not be put off by this. It is a very short walk into town and the streets are perfectly safe. The hotel is clean and well... More

just stayed one night here. But really enjoyed it as it was also a very good location. I did have to walk around 20 minutes to the station but this was a very reasonably priced hotel and I liked everything about it very much. I gladly recommend this to all business travellers and even others as this is also good... More

The staff at the hotel was very friendly, and the room was nice for three of us to stay in for one night after a football match and a night on the town. It is in a sort of sketchy part of town, and at the end of the night we took a cab back instead of walking. It cost... More

As an experience this supposedly three star hotel was unique and by unique I mean uniquely terrible. A hotel made out of makeshift rooms with wafer-thin plywood walls, no elevator and toilet seats stuck under the sink making their use impossible. The owners, charging 154 euros for a single room because a football game was in town, were rude and unhelpful... After having read some remarks on the Internet about the hotel being in the middle of an ethnic minority neighbourhood, which was meant as a kind of complaint, I decided that this was the place I wanted to stay. For me, cities are not just about visiting museums and staying in the city centre or an upper-middle class neighbourhood. Cities... More
