Nice, clean hotel with modern looking rooms. Very close to Westfalenhallen (just a 5 minute walk). Great value for your money. Breakfast had good selection. It was only 13 euros because of some summer promo. Hotel is about 15 minute walk from major train that connected me back to Dusseldorf airport (line S4 and then S1).

Have stayed in Germany at other hotels in this chain and thought they were nice. And this one was no different. Nice size room with AC. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Was only in town for one night but got plenty of rest and it is also very quiet. Front Desk staff was very helpful. City Center is... More

I stayed in this hotel as it was near Dortmund University, which I was attending for a conference. The room was a nice size, with double bed (pillows were too soft!). Bathroom was small compact, but clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast buffet had a lovely selection of fresh fruits, cereals, cooked breakfast, breads, meats and cheeses. Overall the... Stayed at the Steigenberger Dortmund hotel on 1st March 2014 as we had tickets to see Borussia Dortmund play. The hotel itself was perfect, just a 5 min walk to the stadium and 15min walk to city centre. I also found it very clean, reasonably priced and had a good sized room. We ate at the restaurant that night and... More

We wanted to stay close to the Dortmund Stadium to attend an Andre Rieu concert so selected the Steigenberger Hotel which served it's purpose. Hotel is fairly basic with dour furnishings. Our room was large with basic furnishings. Beds comfortable. Breakfast not included in room rate but reasonably priced. Only full buffet breakfast available. Staff friendly and helpful. A number... 10 minutes / 10€ by taxi from the train station I slept there, I had the choice of hi/low floor room, smoking/nonsmoking room. The room was big, with 2 beds, big, with a nice small bathroom, with an interroom door if you know your neightbour, with a mini-bar, with a safe. The internet wifi connection was included and worked. There... More

This is a large hotel that operates pretty efficiently. It has a business hotel feel. The rooms are quite nice and the prices are very reasonable for this level of quality. The room furnishings are pleasant and functional. The bed is large and comfortable and the rooms are well insulated (quiet). The university, football stadium and concert and convention hall... More

A nice hotel, easy to reach by public transport: train to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, metro ("U-bahn") line to "Kreuzstrasse" (several lines go from Hauptbahnhof to "Stadtgarten", change trains here, then take the metro line "U 42" to Hombruch, exit at "Kreuzstrasse"). In December 2013 the price of a one way ticket was EUR 2,50. The breakfast was excellent.

Small bathroom. Large room. Old spotted carpet although appears to be regularly cleaned. WiFi has to be paid on the top, in my eyes every modern hotel should offer it for free. Mineral water too to be paid apart Eur 5.50. Clean but small bathroom. Hotel not really central though close to football stadium. My rate did not include breakfast.

I stayed here on business for two nights. Check-in was efficient and my room, although facing on to the street, was quiet and looked to have been recently refurbished to a good standard. I did not dine in the hotel, but breakfast was copious and the bar staff were polite and efficient. Underground parking is convenient for the hotel reached... More
