Let us start with the good news: The location of this hotel is excellent, the staff is consistently exceedingly friendly, as I can judge from three past visits. The rooms are clean, wifi is free. So far, all is well. Admittedly, from an aesthetical perspective, the interior of the hotel is rather hard to take - one has to be... More

Our ACTIU furniture provider suggested this hotel during the ORGATEC Exhibition and we found it very convenient to public transportation and reasonable with breakfast included ! The staff could not have been more helpful and always went out of their way to make our week long stay pleasant. We look forward to our next ORGATEC in 2016.

This hotel is a brief walk to train station and Dom. It is a lovely, reasonably priced hotel that serves a wonderful breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was quiet and reasonable size compared with other European hotels and the beds were most comfortable. The hotel staff are very polite and speak fluent English.

The hotel indeed is located just few minutes walk to train station and Dom. It is a reasonable-priced boutique hotel. The hotel just offers breakfast, but i think it is ok. One can find out restaurants easily around train station. The room is of reasonable size of other hotels in Europe. It is also quiet enough. Well, the hotel staff... More

Stayed here during a business trip to trade fair. Didn't spend much time in the room as the evening's entertainments went on longer than is planned for.... Couldn't really be more conveniently located. Friendly staff at the desk, room was perfectly fine.

Just a couple of hundred metres from Cologne railway station - and the old city - this is ideal as a one night stop for the weary traveller. Check-in is efficient and our room was fine. Downstairs there is a comfortable seating area. We were served a good breakfast in a light and cheery room. The Ludwig is nothing more... More

Near the end of a month-long trip to France and Germany, Hotel Ludwig was a surprising high point. Cologne itself was a pleasant surprise, more comfortable and interesting than we anticipated. Everything about the hotel was nicer, better than we expected: the room was air-conditioned and the location was convenient for walking to restaurants and the Cathedral. Breakfast was more... More

A very nice hotel and very comfortable to stay if you are traveling with small kids and family and by train. Even with the luggage its just hardly 5 min from the main railway station. The rooms given to us were very nice with balcony and had a view of the Dom. We stayed on the third floor. The beds... More
