I stayed here for one night during Gamescom at the last minute, as every other hotel in the city was sold out! It's very conveniently located near the main station and the Hilton, where some of my colleagues were staying. I had a private room, which was tiny but absolutely spotless, bathroom included. I slept very well - the bed... More

I have to start by saying I had high hopes for the hotel; it didn't have air conditioning but upon entering the room it was clean and looked very nice. The front desk isn't there 24/7- they leave around 8pm so after that time there is only a night-watch person which you have to get a hold of by going... More

The room is just ok and clean enough. The location is not so clear at the website since they have three different hotels in one city. But it is near the central station this is convenient. However the service is not so good because they do not have front dest reception.

This was my second stay and the standard is still the same. I was later than manned check in but got my key easily. The rooms have basic cooking facilities and a fridge. They do try to make the place welcoming and the location is great. Very close to the centre, central train station, and also supermarkets etc.

I stayed in that hostel a while ago (June 2008), but still have good memories to it. It is situated quite close to the centre of Cologne and I did everything by walking. Welcoming was very friendly when I arrived there and I liked my room very much. Although no service is included, for that price compared to that of... More

Late (I assume) arrival procedures (10 pm) were unusual. You ring the outside door bell. A man tells you to come in and wait for the pay phone inside to ring. You go in. The pay phone rings. You are given a code to open a safe where the key is located. Of course, the safe did not work for... More

This was our second stay in the Storch II. Probably the best aspect of the hotel is the location - 10 min. walk to the train station, close to the river, entertainment area, U-Bahn right around the corner. Close following was price - seemed to be the cheapest offered by hotel.info - it was a shock that prices doubled on... More

We arrived late in the evening to check in. The front door was locked, so we tried the buzzer and waited for several minutes. Once inside, we checked in with a staff member over the phone because the front reception was closed. Our room was located on the first floor right next to the front door. Our room was quite... More

We stayed 5 minutes, then we ran... Hotel was dirty, the neighbourhood was unsafe, not something you enjoy spending the night. After letting the hotel know that we decided nog to come, they had the nerve to ask 90% of the total price... What à waste of money and time!!! Don't go there!!!!

We just spent a night there but that's enough! First, the place was difficult to find. The owner doesn't speak English. When we rang the bell, he just pointed and told us to get to a small office at the back. He gave us the room on the roof which was hot and stuffy. The worst thing is we found... More
