I can see why there have been so many positive reviews of this hotel. It certainly scores well in terms of location and value. The view from my room of the Dom deserved 5 stars in its own right. However, it is let down by extremely poor Wi-Fi. Its not the strength of the signal that is at fault, but... More

We would never have found this little hotel but for tripadvisor but it is a real little gem. If, as we were, you are arriving and departing by train then the location is absolutely unbeatable. Add to that friendly hosts and spotlessly clean accommodation and you cannot really beat it. They kindly held our bags for us on our departure... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Great location opposite the Koln hbf on the rear side. Easily visible when you come out of the station. Rooms small but very modern and functional for solo business travellers. The shower lacked water pressure. Free wifi but the password is sooooo complicated and needs to be re entered every hour or so... More

We stayed at the Breslauer Hof Am Dom from the 20th to the 23rd of December 2013. I remember getting off the train and looking across the road and spotted our hotel straight away. It was so close to everything we needed in Cologne and was a great place to base ourselves. The location is perfect, we had the top... More

Breslauer Hof Hotel Am Dom is a small family hotel. Hitel located steps from Cologne main train station. Hotel has a tiny elevetor. I booked family room which is on the top floor and elevator can not go to that floor. So, we have to drag our luggage on stairs for one level. Family room is big and clean. Bathroom... More

What I like: - 2 mins to the Cologne rail station - Amenities aplenty at Cologne rail station - Free Wifi in rooms - Room cleanliness - Safe available - No noticeable noise from rail if your room is at the back. What bothered me: - No AC - TV had a prob with the volume even when turned to... More

If you are traveling by train, and seek a typical 3 star place, this is recommended. Just across from the station, a bit cramped, but on the upside, a friendly family run hotel, breakfast up to German standards and free wifi working well throughout.

As a large family group we booked four rooms. We couldn't fault any of the rooms. The bathrooms were so immaculate we thought they must have been new - maybe they were! My husband and I were in room 56 with two of our children. It is a lovely large room with a terrace, not so great in December (a... More

All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room (55) was small, as expected, but comfortable, with two good armchairs and a small table in addition to a small desk. Beds were also comfortable. The wireless internet connection was free and always excellent during our 6-night stay. For the price (only 5 Euros) the breakfast is fine; no hot... More

I usually get my info off Tripadvisor - with the Christmas Markets up and running accomodation was not easy to find and pricey. So to stay within our budget we decided on this hotel - 2 minutes from the station and 4 trainstops from the airport - a single ticket 2.60 euro - room on the small side and bathroom... More
