We will now consider this our Cologne Home in the future. The location is perfect, the receptionist spoke perfect English and was helpful beyond belief! Even wrote a note for our car windshield for parking in front. The rooms are not large, but very clean and comfortable. We had a rear-facing room, which was very quiet. Indeed, the elevator is... more

This was my second time staying at the Breslauer Hof am Dom - I posted a review after spending 4 nights there in December 2008 - and I'm still a satisfied guest. We had a twin room this time, a very comfortable, very clean room; the bathroom was smaller than the one in the triple room, yet perfectly functional. The... more

This hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main station. It has free internet and the buffet breakfast is adequate.Reception is friendly and yes it does have the world's smallest lift! I asked for a quiet room and so did not face the street but a courtyard. Unfortunately, the noise comes from the corridor as the walls are not... more

I arrived in Cologne after a lengthy railway journey with several changes, interrupted by a key cancellation which caused stress and anxiety. It was therefore an immense relief to me to discover that the hotel was literally only a few metres away from Koln Hauptbahnhof and that the receptionist was a professional guy who spoke excellent and faultless English thus... more

Great Location. Very near to the Koln Train station about 5-10mins walk. Its true that the lift is small. But who cares!! Room was very clean and well kept. Nothing fancy but a good hotel to stay for 2-3 nights. Breakfast was fairly simple. Stayed a total of 3 nights. The staff on the first and last day was very... more

So it is very close to the train station and many of the major sites and we did get a good night's sleep there. The lack of AC may be an issue for some - esp if you face the decision about opening the window with the street noise. The elevator is truly tiny - even smaller than the last... more

We relied on this site heavily to book the various hotels during our trip to Germany and the Netherlands and are so glad we did! We got a great rate (around 69 euro) and were able to check in a little early,. Wolfgang at the front desk was extremely helpful and chatty. He recommended a great restaurant near the Cathedral... more

This hotel didn't look like much from the pictures so we were very pleasantly suprised when we arrived, the reception were very helpful and spoke excellent english, the room was clean and a reasonable size - we had a fab view of the catherdral and the train station. Breakfast was very nice - cereal, bread , cheese, meat, eggs, fruit... more

We had 2 single rooms for 5 nights here in early October and were very pleased with this hotel. Location adjacent to the railway station is very good and the Dom and the city centre lie a few minutes away. In the other direction the Rhine is about 3 minutes walk away. Boat trips are available from here and you... more
