Good location. Comfortable, quiet and clean room. Good wi-fi in room on second floor. Staff mainly polite and helpful and gave good local directions and information. Breakfast was good apart from everything that should be hot was actually cold (sausage, egg and bacon). When staff were informed, nothing was done about it. Main reason for stay in Cologne was to... Location good Breakfast good Rooms ok, but smelled strange Watch out if you want to pay by credit card. We wanted to pay in Euros but were charged in GBP without being asked -at a very poor exchange rate.

During my visit to Cologne, I spent two nights in Hotel Allegro. It's very nicely located and close to pretty much everything in the city center. Well, Cologne is the small city, but anyway ... Rooms and hotel in general are clean. Service and staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel provides their own parking space (in the garage in... More

Good points - comfy bed even though it was a single, decent bathroom, nice toiletries, cute hallway, food at the restaurant next door was pretty good, breakfast was varied. Location was good for the river where there are wonderful restaurants and the chocolate museum. Downsides - noisy even through the night with loud traffic noise, slanted roofs that would have... Having stayed in a number of hotels in this area, I must say I really liked this one. I got a special offer through trivago which resulted in the hotel only costing me around €20 for the night. The room was clean, the bed was really comfy, the bathroom was immaculate. While the staff were not overly friendly, they weren't... More

I've just come back from a sunny and very relaxed weekend break in Cologne at the Hotel Allegro with my husband. The hotel is really well situated, right on the river with only a short stroll to the old town, cathedral etc. It is on a main road, however the noise was minimal, which is good as we're light sleepers!... I normally stay at the Novotel when in Cologne but they were fully booked for this last trip. In a mad scramble I searched for an alternative and decided upon Hotel Allegro. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the room and the overall service that I received. The staff were extremely helpful and I have to... More

4 of us riding our motorcycles through Europe, turn up on a Friday afternoon looking for 2 rooms and secure garaging for the bikes. No issues on either account. Rooms were comfortable and a good nights sleep had by all. Amazing help was on hand when 1 of the bikes failed to start and 1 of the group had to... More

This hotel is located right on the river and is well-positioned for sight-seeing. Their parking lot was full so we parked across the street at the Martim, which was pretty pricey, but not obscene. The room was pretty old fashioned in terms of decor, but clean and comfortable. There's no A/C but the window opens and there is an oscillating... More
