As everyone else says, superclean hotel. The rooms had great high ceilings which made it feel airy. Very quiet neighbourhood but not too far to walk to the centre. We had been to a festival so were happy to stay somewhere so comfortable and clean. The biggest bonus for us was that although we turned up without a booking they... more

This hotel is spotless, charming and in a neighborhood full of trendy bars and restaurants. But the hotel kept falling short of expectations. There are no alarm clocks, coffee makers or irons in the rooms. In fact, there seemed to be only a handful of irons in the entire hotel. There is no soap, shampoo or lotion provided, only a... more

At the suggestion of expat friends Michelle & Tom Gross, who are living in Cologe for a year on a business assignement, we booked a room at the Hopper. Heard in elevator that rooms were tiny, but hey we are in Europe, we expected that...not ours! Maybe it's the room we got but it had a darling balcony with 2... more

After seven days of train travel throughout southern Germany, my family and I were ready for a little pampering in Cologne. We received it at the Hopper et cetera. Small things like complimentary internet and prompt housekeeping services are welcome to travelers. The rooms are exceptionally clean, modern and comfortable. The varied, complimentary breakfast is available between 7:00 a.m. and... more

We stayed here with a mixed group of friends and were very pleasantly surprised at how much character the building has and how clean and friendly we found the hotel. My room was spacious and had more than enough amenties, the breakfast was more than ample and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There was even free cake in... more

My partner and I stayed at Hopper et Cetera for 2 nights during our vacations in Cologne. The hotel is described as a 'boutique' hotel in former monastery. The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation (tram and underground train). It takes approx. 10 minutes to the Cathedral. From the main station/the Cathedral to the hotel by taxi, it costs... more

Hotel Hoppa et cetera; Cologne Stayed in this hotel in January 2007 whilst at the furniture show, it is a small hotel not far from the centre of town with a very modern edge despite being in a former monastery, it has a nice bar and bistro on the ground floor, but the thing that stood out for me was... more

Really good hotel. It was clean, comfortable and big enough. There didn't seem to be air conditioning but it has thick walls and for the majority of the year, this shouldn't be a problem. Staff very efficient. Free internet in the foyer. The restaurant/bar is good. We were very happy with it. It offered a lot of value for what... more

Stayed at the Hopper for five nights on a business trip. Rooms are clean and the location is good but if you're a light sleeper or likely to be suffering from jet lag, be aware that that walls are paper thin. I could hear fellow guests' phone conversations and movements. Next time, I'd opt for a less trendy and chic... more

On our trip to the world Cup, it was very difficult for us to find hotels in Germany, so we had to book what was available, and not having too much information, we booked the Hopper Et cetera. We were suprised! It is a small hotel but very modern, clean and well located, because it's in an area that has... more
