Loved the view of the Rhein river from my room. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. One warning is their is no air conditioning. I was there for a couple of nights and one night it was very warm in the room even with an open window. The breakfast was good and the bar prices were very reasonable. I had a bier both nights in the bar. I will stay here again but not when the temperature is above 85 degrees F.

Nothing special, but clean and quite, very kind staff, good bar for a bier or small dinner, excellent breakfast. Wonderful view from the windows having the Rhein river just adjacent to the hotel. Internet wifi not alwyas working.

++ Friendly staff Good breakfast Nice large room You can get to Koln by tram which is a 15 min away from the hotel. -- Overpriced for this type of hotel without pool Location seems to be OK but in fact is in the middle of an industrial area Parking needs to be paid on top of the high room price (8 euro/Day)

We stayed here in a larger sized family room at the end of the hall with 2 bedrooms and a small "living room" with a separate bathroom. The beds were perfect for us. We did not experience any noise from other guests. The water kettle is not standard in our room but was brought up swiftly by request. During our stay it was very hot (35+ Celsius). The hotel did not have airconditioning but we knew that before booking. Fortunately, the windows opened all the way which helped cool te room down in the evenings and early in the morning. The hotel is situated on the Rhine, there may be some noise from boats that drop anchor. Roomservice is very decent and affordable (soup, salad, pizza - all around 7 Euros). Breakfast was good, everything you needed for a good start of the day. Be sure to arrive early, food refills are not guaranteed after 8 o'clock. Parking was free because we booked prior to the introduction of the parking fee. Wesseling is not a pretty town. There were quite a lot of stores located a short drive away. There are a few restaurants nearby which we did not visit. We stayed at the hotel to visit Phantasialand, which is a 15-minute drive away. Because we booked early, we had a very good deal for the four of us including breakfast. We might have chosen a different hotel if we had to pay full price.…

I had to visit a local chemical plant and booked a room in the Rhine Hotel. The Hotel is well maintained and rooms seem to have been upgraded in recent years. The room I had was very spacious and pleasant. It was a warm day and the sun shined on the Windows, the room became very hot. An AC is recommendable. When you travel on a bright sunny day, you may want to have a room on the rhine side..... The shower is your typical german Hotel standard. A bit outdated, but in fine order and clean. Although I hate cubicables, they do what they have to do. The bed was surprinsingly good and I slept well. Wifi in the room is also good. Breakfast in the morning is very good. Lot's of choice and plenty for everybody with amazing views over the rhine river. Top Location. The Hotel does not have an evening restaurant, so you have to go out. If you walk 300 -500 yards to the left from the hotel you will find some local restaurants. This is not a tourist hotel, this is a business / workers hotel to serve the local chemical industry. Be are of this People leave early with a bit of noise...... It is of very good standard proper business hotel, reasonably priced. I will return.…

Rooms are bigger then normal, comfortable, good view over the river. Beds and pillows are good and comfortable. Curtains are terrible, do not stop the light from coming in. Breakfast is very good, lots of choices, friendly staff. The village is not inviting, in the middle of a large industrial area. Plenty parking space. A good hotel to stay if you are travelling to another destination.

We stayed in this hotel for the purpose of visiting the Christmas markets in Cologne, the river facing room we were given was on the far corner of the hotel with a double aspect twin bedroom and double bedroom with lovely views of the Rhine. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, they cater for all tastes and there was always staff on hand to help, the hotel staff in general were really good, couldn’t be more helpful, reception staff and restaurant staff. Car park charges applied but were good value, the local restaurants and bars in the town are walkable and there are lots of them. The local train station was a 5 minute walk away with links to Cologne and Bonn. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying, and wanting to, explore this area, take all the industrial sites nearby for what they are as this is what makes the area what it is. There are some really nice green areas around the town and walks and cycle paths along the Rhine. All in all a great hotel.. great staff.. great location.. …

Friendly staffs and good service. Parking was free(due to weekend?). WiFi works but a bit slow. We got a river view room & enjoyed a beautiful Rhein river. Breakfast was a lot of choices. Many hot meals, eggs, sausages and so on. I didn’t order room service however it was quite reasonable price. To restaurants, bars in the city center, it’s a few minutes by car. On foot, it would take longer. It was very good weekend trip there. I would like to stay there again.

Stayed here for 2 nights and was paying 100 euro a day...the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and the village it is in is so boring. They have no gym or pool and the room is average. The breakfast is nice though I would recommend you take a short 20 minute ride to the Hilton in cologne and stay there for the same price.

The hotel is in Wesseling literally on the banks of the Rhein and five mins drive from Autobahn and 10 walking to local railway station. The direct views are a bit industrial to the north but more pleasant to the south overlooking the Seven mountains. Rooms comfortable good on-suite shower and toilet room. A little noisy if you have a room overlooking the river (barges). Our room rate for double €129 including extremely good as-much-you-can-eat breakfast. Room rate better before the crazy Brexit devaluation but that's not the fault of the Germans! Worth a visit.
