We stayed here with some friends for 1 night during in december 2013 for visiting the christmas markets. The location is great in the middle of the most important shopping street. Breakfast was good, a lot of choise. Room was more than ok for a night, clean, good bed. People at the reception were also very helpfull. You can park... More

It's a little hard to find - the sat nav seems to take you round in circles - and the outside looks a little unprepossessing but we couldn't fault the service and the hotel itself. The moment we drew up in the car, the receptionist what outside taking down the barrier to allow us into the small parking area opposite.... More

While it's true that some of the decor and furnishings are a bit dated, everything is clean, the rooms are a good size and the beds and bedding are very comfortable. The hotel is just off one of the main shopping streets (Hohe Straße), so it's nice and quiet at night - we had a great night's sleep! It's also... More

The hotel is excellent and is located in the historic center. Surrounded by bars and restaurants and a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. It has a good infrastructure, with comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Offers a good international breakfast. It is a good choice for those seeking comfort, location and fair price.

We stayed at this property when we attended the ISM Fair. The location was excellent as it is close to everything. The Schildegrasse Shopping area is within easy walking distance as well as the train station. Even the famous tourist spots like the Dom Cathedral, Hohenzollern bridge, Museum Ludwig, etc are within easy distance. There are many restaurants in the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last December specifically for visiting the German Christmas Markets. This management should have sorted out problems with the lift and hot water before the Christmas Market season started. I had no hot water in my room for most of my stay and did not appreciate having to endure a cold, or if I was lucky,... More

The one brilliant thing I'll say about this hotel is it's location. It's very close to the main shopping streets in the old town and a short walk to the cathedral. Also, if you're driving, the parking garage is just a block away and very well lit. In fact, there is a whole floor just for women drivers. The hotel... More

We stopped here overnight on our road trip to Berlin. Cologne itself was a bit of a let down to me as after visiting Berlin previously I was expecting the Christmas market to be something a bit special. It wasn't. Not a patch on Berlin. The hotel was ok, nothing special but then again we were not expecting it to... More

All in all, this was a good, clean hotel complete with a small buffet type of breakfast (luncheon meats, breads, yogurts, tea, coffee, juice, eggs, sausage), but it didn't come without a few issues. The hot water didn't always work, especially in the evening and on our last day, only one of us got a hot shower in the morning.... More
