We arrived by train so this hotel was a great location and very easy to find. It was a quick walk from the station. We arrived early and were allowed to drop off our luggage and come back later. Our main purpose of going to Cologne was to see the cathedral and this hotel is a perfect location, maybe a... More

Very close to the station. Approximately 5 minutes walk. Clean, tidy rooms. Friendly staff. Absolutely no complaints. A very German selection for breakfast, enjoyed very much. If I were to return to Cologne I would stay at Brandenburger again.

All the previous reviews about this hotel are correct. Friendly staff, tidy and clean rooms, great breakfast and central location near the station and Dom. No downsides to staying here if you are after a secure and safe hotel at a good price close to the city centre. Would definitely stay again.

Firstly, this hotel is very well located, a short walk from the train station, cathedral and other attractions (Cologne is very tourist-friendly as most of the attractions are all in the one spot). However, if you head North (away fro the touristy stuff) you can also find cheaper food and more variety. There is also a coin laundry and post... More

Okay, let’s get the negative stuff out of the way. I booked the hotel through Booking.com – and upon arrival, they simply weren’t expecting me. Somehow, there was a breakdown in communications between the hotel and the agent, and I'd fallen through the system. Having said that (and now to the good stuff), the Reception staff couldn’t have been more... More

We arrived by train , just a 4 minute walk from Koeln Hbf, we could leave our bagage and check in later. The Hotel is in a quite street near the station. The rooms are clean and large enough, good (hard) beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Complete with soaps etc and hairdryer. We had a good nights... More

This review is late. We stayed in Dec 2012 on a road trip from Munich. We had trouble looking for reasonably priced hotels and was happy to find this that had private parking and near the center of town. As you may know, local hotels in the city center seldom have private parking. That being said, the private parking was... More

We stayed at the Brandenburger Hof from 14 - 19 Feb 2013. We chose it because of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet location ideally situated for getting around central Cologne on foot. About 5 minutes from the Cathedral and start of pedestrian shopping areas, 20 mins from chocolate museum or... More

Stayed at this hotel weekend 1st/2nd February. Booked after positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Pros. Great location (about 5 minutes walk from the main station) and in a quiet street. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good value at 70 euros for a double room (with tv). Cons. Although the bathroom was small it was immaculately clean and... More
