Located by the River and is in walking distance to all the main attractions. Lovely old building with heeps of character! Breakfast was standard, would have expected some pastries as it's Germany but oh well. The shared bathroom wasn't really a problem: we stayed on the second floor with a toilet a few doors down and the shower room was... More

The location on the Rhine was hard to beat. The buildings are iconic and are normally shown in many stock photos of Cologne. Our roon had a view of the Rhine, was small, but clean and comfortable. It did have a private bath and shower. That is not offered in all rooms. The staff really impressed me when I received... More

Great Atmosphere and location - but noisy at night on weekends. Unfortunately I don't think the hotel is doing that well - too many bedrooms with shared facilities is not what the majority want these days. The lack of money shows in tatty carpets etc. Staff were very friendly & efficient and location is superb. Breakfast is true continental -... More

What a delightful little hotel. An older property but lacked nothing. From the quaint lift to share bathroom, miles away from the marble and glass and staff with fake smiles. The staff here are warm and genuine, willing to help. Location, location, location on the waterfront alongside interesting watering holes.

It was a cute place with a great location right next to a beautiful cheuxh that looked like a castle outside our room window. The staff was nice. The bathrooms and showers were communal, but was no an issue for us.

Right on the water! Cute interior and exterior! The rooms could use a little art, but otherwise the whole place was super quaint. Staff was EXTREMELY NICE. For the super low price I paid, I got so much out of it. OH! And the breakfast was free and delicious with unlimited soft boiled eggs! I would definitely stay there again!... More

This hotel is a secret in the oldest part of Cologne. The rooms at the front have a magnificent view over the river. The old house has all the benefits for a romantic weekend. But you have to love little attics and low ceilings and sharing a bathroom from now and then. And the kitchen is fine dining!
