My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Viktoria for 3 nights whilst visiting the Christmas Markets in Cologne. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay there. The decor of the hotel was outstanding. The breakfasts were lovely with plenty of choices and the dining room was very comfortable and... More

This is a lovely hotel. it is very characterful with a fascinating history and a certain reverence. Breakfast is a good quality buffet that is quite enjoyable. There is no restaurant and nor were there any obvious opportunities to get a hot drink in the room, which was a bit of a hassle as there are limited options outside the... More

Maybe not for 4* if we see the rooms (the keys are "normal" keys, not electronic cards, 70's are coming back! And the bathrooms are a bit small. The main door is closed by night), but nice staff and correct breakfast. Close to the old centre with a short walk.

This hotel was selected primarily for its location near my work office. It was also very well priced but based on this I was not expecting too much. I was though pleasantly surprised with the look and appearance of the hotel as well as the room quality. Its not a top end hotel chain but, in my view, the combination... More

We stayed in Cologne for a long weekend to see the Christmas markets. This hotel was really clean and had a bit more character than some of the chain hotels. On arrival we got upgraded to a suite so we had a lovely room with plenty of space. Breakfast was also nice. It's a bit of a walk to the... More

Stayed here for a weekend in May. Easily reached by underground, or a pleasant walk along the Rhine, either to city centre or to Zoo and Botanic Gardens. Room not enormous, but quiet and clean with a lovely view over gardens. Public areas have interesting pictures and info on the musical instrument museum that was previously housed here. Reception staff... More
