The building is really original and the lobby impressivly luxurious. Bedroom in the 10th floor had great view. Bedroom was cosy and well maintained, but there is something there that make you think this is old and could benefit from a fresher look, especially in the bathroom. We enjoyed the bathrobe and little dessert left for us. However it was a... More

this hotel is just 10 min on foot from the historic center. You get a welcoming feel and the hotel gives a luxurious impression. The hotel restaurant is OK, but there are a zillion places nearby in the center. They have a large underground parking. The rooms are large, but warm, I didn't find any airco controls. Because it is... More

My husband booked the hotel as a special treat for me as a water engineer and I did find the building fascinating. we stayed there both ont he way out and the way back from a holiday in Austria and the experience on the way out was appalling. Our dinner was the set 'local' menu and the food was excellent... More

I stayed this hotel with my wife one night. The building looks so nice like a historical monument. Staff were friendly and our room was nice. The bed was not spacious though. We took breakfast at the restaurant and ordered omlet. It took quite long until our plates were delivered to our table. Considering the price, I would not recommend... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights during a mixed business and pleasure trip last week. On first appearances the hotel looks impressive particularly the entrance/lobby area. Our room was upgraded from a deluxe double to a maisonette (great stuff) we thought, however, not so. There was a spiral staircase from the lounge area to the bedroom, which was... More

The building looks great but the hotel is not so good - there are better hotels for the same or less money. I was there during a busy exhibition time. My room on the 10th floor was large and clean but the bathroom was in need of modernisation, The bed was not up to scratch - small and uncomfortable. Not... More

A hotel in a water tower obviously has some odd configurations but this one must have been for all of central Cologne because it has such a broad diameter. Enough to make the rooms spatious. It is clean and rustic, with great views of the city from the 5th floor. The food and drinks were excellent. Very nice breakfast buffet.... More

The building is very nice and unique, the room is very very small, bed is not comfortable, and hardly to connect wifi. Food is very nice, and the service in restaurant is very good. I was waiting in the front desk for more than 1 minute, just waiting for the two staffs finish their talking.

There is really only one thing I can say that is good about this hotel and that is the building. It is stunning, the rest of the hotel is a total disgrace. Like the other reviewers of this hotel, I cannot believe it is rated as 5 star. The gym was little more than an exercise bike and a rowing... More

Stylish hotel with nice rooms and interesting architecture, being in a converted water tower but having stayed here twice now there is something about the service that puts me off. Its like you get in very expensive, designer shops - polite but not in the least bit friendly. The location also makes exploring the city a bit of a chore.... More
