Cleverly built into an old water tower, Hotel Im Wasserturm has seen better days. The lobby area is charming, and the restaurant is beautiful with terrific service. They also offer a very nice buffet breakfast; mine was included. But unfortunately once you arrive on your hotel room floor, you can immediately see the wear in the halls - years of... More

We have been to Cologne before, but always wanted to try this hotel. We booked a Junior Suite with marble bathroom and views of the city. On arrival, we were "upgraded" to a Gallery Suite (via SLH membership) which turned out to be one of the worst rooms we have ever seen, with a grubby bathroom and a bedroom with... More

I was told by friends what a great hotel this is. Its in an old water tower However for my taste I didn't like the circular rooms with small windows (which on my floor started below the floor level) I also found the room looked tired - the bathrooms were quite poor, wouldnt stay again

We do recommend this hotel. Location is great, close to everything yet hidden in the streets between apartments, churches, etc.. cozy! PROS: nice staff, good food (a bit pricey but tasty), not very vegetarian friendly - a few items but mostly meat, you are in Germany right! Different room lay outs are interesting and views of city are nice. The... More

When we booked the hotel we understood that it was older but clean and that was fine by us. What we were not prepared for was the complete mess the hotel was. There were water stains on the walls, chunks of wall missing in the hallway, mold on the tiles, and blood or stool residue on the bathroom wall (I... More

We stayed at Hotel Im Wasserturm based on the travel reviews and weren't disappointed. The concept is really great: I haven't seen anything like - the round structure, the room and window designs to match. The accommodations were great and very comfortable for two people. Loved little touches: boxes of little cookies, welcome sweets, etc. We did check the restaurant... More

I was very curious to see that property as I generally like the André Puttmann design style, but I realized when staying here that it is definitely outdated. The bathrooms are dark holes, the layout of the rooms not what I expected and most of the interior of the water tower is far too dark for my taste. Of course... More

Dear Eva-Maria, many thanks that you have taken the time after your stay to value our hotel. Regrettably, we could not satisfy you with all achievements what we are working for. The hotel rooms will receive in a contemporary way a new, but winning water tower look. The renovation of the bathrooms also counts to it. As you have already... More

We stayed here based on the reviews on trip advisor and other research I did on hotels in Cologne. It was such a quirky little hotel, I have never stayed in anything like it. We had the 2 floor maisonette suite. It was very large and had amazing views. We found it quiet and private and really enjoyed the location,... More

We were a group of 5 guys spending 3 nights in this hotel. We have booked 1 double room for single use on the 9th floor with a great view and a balcony going around the hose (which has to be shared with the other guests). In addition, we also had 2 maisonette double rooms. The rooms were nice, but... More

The structure is very original, the hall is to be photographed and the location is in a quiet area near the center. The rooms are a little old, inadequate ventilation during the day and at night even absent, it is turned off at 22:00 because of the noise. Those things are making the quality of sleeping very poor in hot... More
