There is really only one thing I can say that is good about this hotel and that is the building. It is stunning, the rest of the hotel is a total disgrace. Like the other reviewers of this hotel, I cannot believe it is rated as 5 star. The gym was little more than an exercise bike and a rowing... More

Stylish hotel with nice rooms and interesting architecture, being in a converted water tower but having stayed here twice now there is something about the service that puts me off. Its like you get in very expensive, designer shops - polite but not in the least bit friendly. The location also makes exploring the city a bit of a chore.... More

We stayed 2 nights beginning of February in a “Deluxe room”. Stunning building both outside and inside in the common parts but but but we were so disappointed when we entered the room. There was absolutely nothing “Deluxe” about it. It showed clear signs of wear and tear. The decor appeared worn and out of date and the carpets were... More

We have just got back from staying 2 nights at this hotel. It was supposed to be my birthday gift to my husband, a lovely idea but not such a great success. On the good side, the breakfast was amazing; I don't think we have ever sat so long over a breakfast, anywhere. We had a meal in the restaurant... More

Unique hotel in an ex water tower.. Fantastic building, good location (we went for the Xmas markets & found this was. Nice base) rooms comfortable (although we felt the standard room was not a 5* more like a 4*) The 'W' restaurant was amazing especially for breakfast.. The best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. The only downfall Service... More

I stayed at this place in 1992, a year or so after it had opened. It was amazing, because it was such a novelty to transform a former water tower into a boutique hotel. Now, 20 years later and with a makeover (the hotel, that is, not me), the place was still impressive. Service was friendly and efficient. I was... More

Perhaps my expectation was way too high, but this is nowhere near a Five Star hotel, nor a Four Star to my American Standards. While this may be one of the most unique properties I've stayed in, it fell short of it's own entitlement. I'm not sure how many Five Star/Four and a half Star hotels around the world would... More

Spectacular hotel with problems made worse by incompetence. They had lost the key to our safe. Room smelled. Bathroom tiles stained, cracked or missing. Restaurant beautiful, but service very slow. We could not open the door to our ensuite (knob just came off in our hand); the girl at the desk said she would call the technician. What she didn't... More

In my room there was a card reading, "I didn't know such a place still exists. Beautiful, serene and warm," well I don't think the author could have ever spent a night in this hotel or his comments may well have read, dark, smelly and uncomfortable. The twin rooms are the same as the doubles, just two single beds with... More

A lot of hotel profess to have character. This one has an abundance architecturally. Ground floors and lobby are inviting showcasing the water tower's features. Reception a little small so it can get crowded. Well lit and accessible underground garage. Bar and breakfast area well anointed. Located in a quite neighborhood. Spacious corridors. Rooms are odd shaped because of the... More
