We stayed here in August for two nights in our Motorhome having rang the site to book they said there was no need so we arrived around three and the reception said park where you want and can find room so off we went well to say the pitches were a shambles was an understatement people. We're pitched all over... More

Despite booking well in advance we were given a pitch on a very untidy field at the back of the site, which we shared with some old caravans, a few local workers and some dog/cat poo. There were no electric points free either. The man who checked us in was very unhelpful and "couldn't see what our problem was". Overcrowded,... More

Camping Berger is situated on the banks of the Rhine just a few km S of the city. Travel by bike into Cologne is very easy thanks to the cycle path that runs from the gate. The campsite is well priced and has excellent toilet/showers. Only one block for the whole site but clean and we never had to queue... More

We arrived mid afternoon and the reception was easy to find but don't expect too many pleasantries. We were checked in very quickly and told to pitch up where we liked but needed to leave 5m between us and our neighbours. After looking around the large site- there were very few spaces and there was no way anyone else was... More

We stopped the night here for our road trip through Europe. And it was one of my favorite stops of the trip. The campsite was very good, good amenities and right next to the River Rhine. We walked from the campsite up the river to the city centre. It was a good old walk, and left us very hungry for... More

We stayed over at Camping Bergen for one night with a tent in August 2013. The staff were friendly and helpful, the site was clean and tidy, and there was plenty space to pitch the tent. Residents were generally quiet, so a peaceful place to take children who need to sleep! Showers were clean and good. Handy for Koln city,... More

Stayed with my Family for 5 days 2 weeks ago. Easy to find (TomTom), located along the River Rhine. 75% are camper vans but there are places to pitch tents. No allocated pitches, just fit in where you can. This was nt an issue. Facilities: Very clean toilets/showers ( cleaned around 3am whilst nearly all are asleep!). Nice to see that... More

This is a large site and a bit confusing as there are no marked pitches. You just pitch anywhere. You may need a long power cable. There are a lot of seasonal caravans. The site is along the river and there are some river pitches. There is a gate through to the river path but you need to get a... More

We stayed at this campingplatz for 2 nights. Arrived end of August with our campervan and no reservations. No problem! Chose a great spot near the river. Lots of long term campers setup near lake. Was very quiet although I'm sure that can vary with people coming and going. Bathrooms and showers very clean and never too busy. Separate area... More

Best thing about Camping Berger is definitely their washing and cooking facilities. Good toilet and shower facilities that are very big- you would never have to wait- and with about 6 mini bathrooms with toilet, sink and shower in one, which you don't normally get in campsites as well as other showers. The campsite also runs a neighbouring hotel so... More
