This hotel was easy to find if driving into Cologne. The location was good for sight-seeing, ~15 min walk to the cathedral. The hotel itself was clean and the reception staff were extremely helpful in terms of getting to attractions and eating out. More

Hotel was located in the middle of my main point of interests - old city centre on one side (5-15 minute walk) and Köln University (20 minute walk), thus abolishing any need to use public transport.
