What a hotel! Genuine 4* - efficient helpful check in, nice room and furnishings, top class breakfast (until 12 noon on Sundays!) - what more could you possibly want? Great Hotel: new building, tastefully furnished rooms (contemporary), high speed Internet, excellent Breakfast Buffet. Stayed here for one week. I'm quite a fussy person but I can assure you there was nothing negative about this hotel. Spent 3 nights at the Regent on a recent business trip. The hotel is a little outside the city centre, but public transport is available just outside the hotel and brings you to the centre in roughly 15 minutes. Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and really had a very good stay. Rooms are large, modern and very comfortable with LCD TV's and good size bathrooms. Very nice and brand new hotel (Spring 2006) situated very close to Cologne City Center. A tram stops almost in front of the hotel and it's only 4 or 5 stops to Neumarktplatz and the shopping district, Cathedral, main station. It's also very easily accessible by car.
