Stayed at the ARS Vivendi for business travel. The hotel is old, the decor the same but it is not clean and the staff was and the reception closes at night so you need a key to enter, close the fairground by train. Bad service and bad rooms. The staff was terrible.

Overall great Hotel! The price/satisfaction ration was awesome. We booked a double room, which was very simple, but also very clean and spacious. The location is great since it is about 100 feet from the S-Bahn station, which brings you downtown Cologne within 10 minutes. The area around is very nice and also has many restaurants and shoppes.

Area isn't the best and you're on the opposite side of the river to everything that's happening. It is a quiet area and there's normally somewhere to park. The hotel is old, the decor the same but it is clean and the staff are good. I stayed there many many times as a cheap and adequate place to rest.
