Stayed here for one night. The location is fantastic - one minute from railway station from the Dom. Room was nice, recently renewed, silent, relatively small, but for one person it is ok. I did not have any kind of problems. Breakfast was ok. The reception staff was very helpful and nice. more

I've stayed at Central Hotel Dom from Saturday until Thursday. Rooms of the Hotel are spread across three buildings, connected by secret passages and tunnels. On of them crosses the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant (serious) with all the odors you can imagine. The window of my room looked into a noisy backyard with pipes, huge airtubes, making hissing noise... more

The hotel is very close to the station and the Cathedral which is very convenient. The first room I received was a smoking room even though nobody bother to ask me if that is what I wanted, the room smelled awful and I had to cross this narrow halls behind restaurant kitchens to get to it and I asked to... more

Dont understand a lot of the reviews below. We checked in without a problem, yes it is true you do have to walk through the back of a chinese restaurant if you're staying in the back of the hotel, but in fairness there are doors to close off the smell from the rooms. The room was good, much needed fan... more

We stayed here in August of 2008 for 1 night. I booked it through a big online travel site a month in advance for $120/night. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, everything went wrong. The staff was not courteous and borderline rude. We prepaid for a non-smoking twin room but the front desk informed us that even... more

My husband and I chose this hotel from the webpage. We wanted something nice in central Cologne and it looked wonderful. Our agent booked it for us and we paid in advance. We arrived late at night and had trouble finding it. Once in the door I immediately realised this hotel was not what we expected. The gentleman at the... more

I returned yesterday from a 4 night stay at the Central Am Dom. I have read the other reviews and feel I was lucky with my experience as this hotel was an excellent base for us to admire the beautiful city of Cologne from. Our room was a double which had sufficient space for 2 people, a wardrobe, desk with... more

I had some experience with this hotel last weekend, as I came to Cologne to watch the Ukraine vs. Switzerland game. HRS only provided a possibility to book it for Sunday, but I had to stay for two, so I booked my room for Monday for the counter price of 100 EUR. This was quite a lot for a room,... more
