On July 12th, I checked-in with a group of 7 people at around 8pm. It turned out, the hotel's default is to assign smoking rooms, if no specific comment is made in the reservation. I have stayed at the Maritim on a number of occasions over the last few months. Its is an reasonable hotel with good staff. The rooms and public areas are acceptable if dated (1970s I guess).
