This hotel is in a great location just a short walk from the centre of Aachen. The manager was very helpful and friendly. We paid 85 EUR for double room for one night. The rooms are clean but very basic and old fashioned. We had a nice view at the back of the hotel across the back garden and Aachen.... more

Nothing special here. Good location but that's all. One channel on the TV, unappetizing breakfast buffet, rather unfriendly service asking for payment in advance, I'd rather not stay here again. more

A small family run hotel. A very very small elevator to haul bags to room. The service and the curtsey of hotel operators was rude and unfriendly. The best part was the close proximity of this hotel to shops and businesses. No refund offered when wanting to cancel reservation even two week before our arrival. Hotel Marx~~family run despite the name! Excellent hotel ~~well located being only a few minutes walk from cathedral and Old Town (not so old actually thanks to the close attentions of the RAF!) Good value and spotlessly clean. Don't miss restaurant VIVERE~~very reasonable and amongst best meals that we have ever had! more
