We were here on a Friday night. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant and the hotel is good value and well located for exploring the city highlights. wifi was included and breakfast buffet plentiful. It is a pity there is no gym on site and the bar does not open until 20:00 so misses opportunity of pre-dinner drinks for us... More

I only stayed here for a short time and this was my first time to stay at the Mercure Hotel. Given its rating as being between a Novotel and Ibis hotel, I would have to stay that my stay here raised the bar for what to expect in a Mercure Hotel in the future. The room was quite big even... More

This is a nice, modern hotel mere steps away from the Dom and the old downtown. I stayed here for a three day physics meeting. It wasn't a bad walk up to the university, but then much closer for personal time downtown. My room was a little bit odd in setup with a couple of steps up to the bathroom,... More

Nice clean rooms. Make sure to get odd room number on lower floors as the hotel is facing a main street with a bus stop just outside the hotel which tends to create some noise. Good breakfast and very close to many good restaurants and the really old parts of Aachen. In Christmas time there is a great Christmas market... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel recently for a weekend break in Aachen, and it was a great choice. It is located right in the centre of Aachen, around 10-15 minutes' walk from the station. As Aachen is a rather small city, all the main attractions and landmarks are easily reachable on foot. The Carolus Thermen are particularly... More

Great location, right in the center of Aachen, the shopping street is right in front of the hotel and the historical center is just behind! The room are big and cosy. The staff is super nice! Prices are most than honest. Can't imagine going to a différent hotel next time im in Aachen!

We booked this property based on proximity from the train station and Christmas markets. Based on those, it was fine. However, the breakfast option was too expensive to consider. Luckily, there is a McDonald's just behind the hotel. Rooms and price are typical of this chain. A good option...

Booked the hotel for 4 nights in a superior room with a room booked from 8am. Arrived to find hotel fully booked and no room available. Not happy as i had travelled overnight with the intention of catching up with my sleep that morning. Paid 30 Euros to take over room early. The receptionist could only reply that the hotel... More

We spent 4 nights here for the Xmas markets and site seeing found it very central. The room we were given was on the 6th floor (top floor) and could still hear the party goers in the streets at night but this was Friday and Saturday night's in a town full of uni students at right next to the Xmas... The hotel is in the heart of Aachen, close to the Dom ( Cathedral) and the main square. A lot of restaurants, shopping and cafe's within walking distance. a couple of parking lots at hand ( Buschal) is the closest.
