Great hotel in central location with clean rooms. Good access to restaurants and cafes in the centre of Aachen. The hotel offers a very good breakfast. Parking is across the road. The only drawback I found was getting back to the hotel in the afternoon due to traffic jam in the centre of Aachen.

This was a most convenient place to stay, with tourist attractions and shopping nearby. It was very clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast buffet was quite an extensive. It would have been good to be able to make toast though.

Staff were brilliant. I popped a tyre on the way to Aachen from Maastricht and the receptionist was so helpful, ring up half a dozen tyre places before she found one that could help me (1pm the next day - a pain, but where could I go?). The area immediately outside is noisy, dirty and inner-city'ish. Behind the hotel is... More

Having stayed in the past in hotels quite some distance from the center, this hotel made me reconsider my opinion of Aachen. The hotel is around 1 km from the train station, but as it is on the outskirts of the old town, you can walk to all the sights in Aachen as well as to numerous bars and restaurants.... More

We were greeted at check in and were asked if we wanted to include breakfast for and additional 17 Euros per person, which we declined. They then asked if we were Loyalty Members because they could give us a two for one on the breakfast. So I said yes we are...then they said it was only for NEW loyalty members...seemed... More

The Mercure was very hard to find. From the outside it looks like a ladies underwear shop. The room was nice, the staff very helpful and the breakfast massive. Parking is a bit of a pain. They have a car park across the road. One of the problems of a town centre hotel.

My wife, sister-in-law and I stayed for two nights last weekend at this hotel. One of the main attractions is that it is very conveniently placed to visit the old town of Aachen and is close to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. The room was sizeable and comfortable and maintained to a good standard. We were excited to see that... More

I spent here a couple of nights for business. Nice hotel, very good position. Rooms are clean and quite big. International breakfast and good service. It is possibile parking just in front of the hotel but you have to pay extra cost . If you want to spend good time here it is the right place. Maybe pretty expensive

I stay in this hotel several times a year and am always incredibly happy with the service. We turned up early and despite that, our room was ready and we had been upgraded to a privilege room which was lovely! I would always recommend this hotel, it is in a perfect location for shopping, sightseeing and eating out. It is... More

Stayed for two nights on business. Location is excellent for the centre, Parking is a short walk away but badly sign posted, i imagine very difficult to find if arriving by car for the first time. Check in was slow despite booking on line. The hotel is clean and staff friendly, although i don't appreciate someone standing over my shoulder... More
