On our way between Berlin and Hiddensee, we stayed here overnight, as we have twice in previous years. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The restaurant now features both local specialties and Spanish dishes (tapas, etc.), well-prepared and with good service. There is a small fitness area and a sauna. Even though I have a German background I had never been to Stralsund. What a great experience - World Heritage-listed, great people and wonderful architecture. The Steigenberger is just outside the old city and you can walk there in a few minutes.
