We spent two days at the hotel during easter. We were very happy. The studio we got were spacious and clean. The hotel has succeeded in combining a high class spa type hotel in magnificent surroundings with at the same time creating a family friendly atmosphere. The animals at the place are as friendly as the hotel staff :) our... More

In historical building. In the countryside. By the lake. Rooms located in separate buildings scattered around the grounds. Spa and other nice options which I unfortunately did not have time to enjoy. Great food. Very nice indeed. Only downside is slow internet in my room (business trip) Glad I had a GPS navigator. Can be a bit difficult to find.

This is a very odd hotel. It felt a bit like an uprated Butlins for the middle-aged with cottages in the woods and sun loungers left out in the rain. It was very quiet and that is a plus, but it was not very welcoming. It felt as if I was in danger of breaking the rules - whatever they... More

We planned to stay just one night but ended staying 2 and then a third night. This place grows on you and we stayed because of the peace and solitude. As others have mentioned Seehotel Frankenhorst is situated in the countryside, a 10 minute drive from the centre of Schwerin and it's solitary position by the lake is relaxing. The... More

The motel is about four miles from Schwerin down a back country road and narrow lane. It is situated on a lovely little lake that also serves as a small marina for about 20 boats. The grounds are spacious and well-maintained. The grounds house some alpacas and donkeys which is nice for kids and the young at heart. The main... More

My girlfriend and I decided on this hotel as the setting looked incredible, we're glad we did decide on the right hotel as the setting is absolutely superb, in countyside between and next to beautiful lakes. If you want a very relaxing holiday which isn't too far away from the nearest German city (Schwerin) then look no further than the... More

This Hotel is lovely, Lake setting. Clean and spacious. It is also Perfect for children as there are several fields housing various types of animals (Donkeys, Chickens, alpacas) and our 4 year old especially enjoyed patting them. playground and soccer field. Breakfast was delicious German style. Our only problem was the gentleman in Reception had inadequate English otherwise very happy... More

Good location, just few minutes from the town. Clean and spacious rooms. And lake just on the door step. Perfect.

Clean, quiet and accommodating. Rooms were older - yet clean and roomy. Not your modern up to date 2011 hotel accommodations but more like a trip back to the 1970's. Staff was wonderful. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were delicious. Breakfast buffet was expanded beyond the typical German fruhstick and well worth the price of... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a driving tour of the area. We really cannot fault anything about this hotel. It is located in an extremely quiet position on the shore of the lake. Accommodation is in several different buildings a few hundred yards apart. We were in the Haus am See and had the Yacht Club... More
