Stayed here for several times already and I really like it. Great, quiet location near the center of town. Tram stop is a short walk away and trams run every 3 minutes. The inside is modern and clean. The apartments come with fridge, small stove and you can order dishes etc. in advance for a small deposit. Breakfast is available... More

When I pulled up to this "hotel" I wasn't sure I had the right place. It looked like a very long old brick army barracks from the outside. Had to drag my suitcases up about 15 stairs which was difficult with bum knees. I walk inside and the smell of cigarettes overwhelms me. I ask the receptionist why people are... More

We really liked this place - very friendly staff, a handy bar with excellent snacks just round the other side of the complex, courtesy of the Sheraton hotel. Good facilities, opportunity to cook and do laundry, good breakfast, handy position once you managed to find it. We were not keen ofn the hotel's own smoking bar but scooted through holding... More

3 night stay. Friendly check in, room exactly as promised, their web site is also good in English. 3 minutes walk to tram stop, frequent trams to city centre (Hbf or Kroepic), total journey time 15 mins max.The building is a converted factory, so high ceilings, good amount of space in rooms. Good breakfasts (for the English old timers the... More

We stayed here while attending the Hannover Messe. Our welcome was friendly. The room was a bit of a surprise. We are a couple, and booked a double room assuming that it would mean a double bed, but we had two single beds separated from each other by a kitchenette. As the hotel was booked out, we couldn't change. I... More

Reasons to stay here include: friendliest welcome I have experienced, WiFi that really works (but seems unsecured, although it could just be my lack of experience with public WiFi networks), good-sized desk so you can actually work, great architecture (if you like like lofts like I do), relatively central location (5 tram stops to the main train station) and availability... We stayed in Hannover for 4 nights to attend a convention and we choose this location because my husband had stayed here before. The rooms are basic but spacious, with a simple kitchenette (dishes, glasses etc. can be borrowed for a small amount), the breakfast buffet is excellent , the beds are good, we slept well. Tram stop nearby, a... More

I had planned to stay in the Sheraton during a recent work trip but it was booked out - a frequent occurrence as there as so many conferences in the city. My clients suggested the Gastresidenz Pelikan, situated in a former factory. We were in one of the basic rooms which provided basic accommodations if not a high level of... More

I stayed at Gasteresidenz for two weeks while working in Hannover. And to say it upfront, I enjoyed my stay very much. Gasteresidenz is not really a hotel but more like a boarding house, geared towards guest who stay for longer periods of time. I had a room on the 4th floor: Large layout, plenty of closet-space, an office area... More

Hannover, being a convention city, is loaded with hundreds of hotels and short-stay apartments .What is common though - even 4 star establishments are not what you expect of truly upscale accommodation. I find that average German 2 star differs from 4* : a) in amount of cheap laminate built-ins , b) thickness of a duvet that is too small... More
