Two nights here as a break from a long drive across Europe. This hotel couldn't be more central, on the beautiful square in the pedestrian area. There's secure underground parking and the hotel is well signposted. We stayed in a standard room with no view (it was dark while we were in it anyway!). It was a little old-fashioned but... more

I stayed at the Van der Valk a couple of times in 2005 back when the hotel was still a Meridien. Hildesheim itself is an interesting and attractive little town and the hotel is located on the beautifully reconstructed main square of the town, with a modern extension behind. This hotel was a real treat. It was a Le Meridean before it turned into the Van der Valk. We were in a King room. When you book, ask for a courtyard or plaza view.
