Stayed at Gebhards for the wedding of a close friend. We could not fault the hotel. The decor was tastefully done and everywhere was clean. The staff were faultless. Breakfast included which is always a plus. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station and central for the town itself. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very well located, next to the main station and close to the city centre pedestrian area. The staff offers an high hospitality. On the other hand I have some things to point out: 1. The TV shows only German channel and a few english ones. 2. The rooms are very small as single accommodation and the ones... More

as our company HQ is located in Goettingen, been in the city many times, but first time at this property. Really nice hotel. Seems to be an upscale property, typical European hotel, smaller rooms, no A/C, but gets the job done. But then again, mid September really doesn't warrant air conditioning anyway. A little different than the American hotels that... More

We picked this hotel thinking "oh well, it looks a bit old and perhaps run down, but should do it for one night". This could not be further away from reality! The hotel is in excellent condition, everything is done with good taste (although arguably targeted at the more senior, better off citizens) and the service is excellent. We arrived... More

Stayed on a business trip. No frills in the room, but the building was lovely, dinner was great and the staff faultless. Have now put this chain on my preferred list for business travel because the buildings are all different, not the same corporate design

This hotel has an abundance of charm, is comfortable, quiet, and well kept. Little extras like chocolates served upon arrival, and a fresh rose in the bathroom add a touch of finesse. A refreshing change for a business traveler. The restaurant was very nice, the hotel is located across the street from the train station, on the "Wall walking path"... More

We were just stopping as an emergency, because we could not drive any longer on the motorway, ..prebooked over the phone,...got a room,...all ok...but when it came to the bill the owner/manageress really ripped us off for things we did not even ask for....total breach of trust. we paid by credit card, but vowed never to return...the rooms are really... Very comfortable hotel, with good cuisine for the breakfast menu. Free wifi which worked well and very well positioned for the Railway Station and town centre. Excellent service in the hotel. The exterior of the hotel was being renovated, but there was no disturbance inside nor any intrusion of noise.

On a short visit with relatives in Gottingen, they recommended the Gebhards, and I was very pleased with the hotel. Although the exterior of the hotel was under renovation and covered with scaffolding, I was there on a Sunday so there was no noise or disruption that day. The hotel's location is great - a short walk from the train... More

We stayed over a long weekend in early October. The building was covered with scaffolding, so presumably undergoing a major facelift, but this caused no problems at all. There is a small carpark, with additional parking on a side street outside, which appears to be free since we didn't get a ticket. The hotel's location means easy access by car... More
