The hotel is in two separate buildings. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Breakfast was great. It felt authentic in the small town a short distance to walk to the river. It was a little difficult to find and there is parking in the area.

We were with a group of 40 folk. Our room was over a bridge and had a balcony overlooking the church steeple. The room was ok , the bed ok but the over bath shower was a disaster with the heat settings being hard to safely set and the water spraying everywhere . We what not had high expectations with... Lovely old hotel right in the center of this small town. Lovely food and as you'd expect excellent wines. The hotel owner has his own small vineyard and offers his wine to hotel guests, I did try to buy a case but... Rooms are lovely. March was quite but maybe noisy in peak season? Well worth staying for more than... More

We were at this hotel for four nights with a group, on a 'Great Rail Journey'. Assmanshausen is a Rhine village intersected by a very busy freight and passenger railway line. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel from a rickety balcony. Where to start. The carpet was ancient, grimy, and up the walls to serve as skirting board.... More

Stayed here in late June as part of a coach party with ledger had room 37 when you first open the door you feel that feel that you have been transported back thirty years, the décor is very dated the bathroom was a dark brown tilled dark cave with no natural light. We had a set menu in the restaurant... More

This 'picture postcard' hotel has rooms in the main building and an annexe across the road. Our courier had warned us that some rooms would be larger than others. Ours was a spacious with an enormous en-suite and we did not hear any adverse comments about room size at all. Breakfast was a good buffet style and suitable for the... More

We stayed here for three nights as part of a coach group. The hotel is very quaint and resembles an Austrian or Swiss mountain hotel. The rooms are very different so a generalisation is difficult. Our room was small but comfortable. The shower and bathroom were adequate but there were no extras such as a mini bar or TV/Coffee facilities.... More

We as many other reviewers stayed at this hotel whilst visiting the Magical Xmas Markets tour with Ledger holidays . We were really impressed with the hotel , the food was really good and our room although it was in the adjacent building was very clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite . It was our first visit to Germany... More

We stayed in this hotel as part of a coach party visiting the Christmas Markets in the area. The building is really old, which adds to its charm. To get to the dining area felt like a treasure hunt - stairs going up and down, corridors winding this way and that and a bridge linking the two buildings. Our room... More
