Lovely room. Large and comfortable. Loved separate shower and toilet. Shower was large and powerful. Hairdryer was great. Food was tasty. Staff hard working and friendly. Clean towels every Day. Hotel is in beautiful village ferries close by. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Lovely hotet right by the river only downside is that rooms at the back of the hotel do get a bit of noise from the trains lovely bar's if you walk over the level crossing and not to far from the next village.

Across all the stay experiences, this is one of my personal best. The hotel is in Assmanshausen and not Rudesheim, so if you are travelling, make sure your tickets are valid till Assmanshausen. Positives about the place: - Very good rooms, spacious, well maintained, bright and airy. My room looked upon the river and was great sitting out in the... More

A very nice setting for the hotel, overlooking the Rhine and situated in a lovely village with half timbered buildings. The hotel is adequate but could do with brightening up. It doesn't have a lounge. The staff were helpful. The food was ok. The breakfast selection was good. Ask for a front room. It can be noisy with the sound... More

I stayed here whilst on a tour of the Rhine . This is a family run hotel in a small town on the banks of the Rhine. The owners and staff are friendly and efficient the meals were good and the accommodation good. The hotel lacks a bar area and a lounge but in good weather this is not a... More

This hotel & restaurant is actually in Assmannshausen, two miles northwest of Rudesheim. It is also adjacent to the river, unlike most accommodations in Rudesheim proper. The village is very charming & a quiet alternative to the bustle of Rudesheim. But if you want all that, it is only a 3-minute train ride away. The proprietor Marco took very good... More

Overall this is an excellent base for exploring the lower half of the Rhine gorge. The hotel is actually in Assmannshausen, but Rudesheim is only a short train ride away (3mins for 2 Euro). Rudesheim is very busy making this hotel a peaceful oasis of calm in comparison and is worth the short journey. The managers, staff, food and facilities... More

My wife and I stayed here May 13, 2014 for 2 nights. What a great location and hotel, right across the street from the beautiful Rhine River, surrounded by wine vineyards. The staff was great, Norbert who may have been the owner was so helpful. Her carried our luggage from our car in the parking lot all the way to... More

We had an overnight stay at this hotel on a driving tour of Europe. The manager made us feel very welcome, showed us where to park and helped us upstairs with our luggage. We had a deluxe double room with a balcony overlooking the Rhine. The room was lovely with all you would expect in it including a coffee machine.... More
