Stayed for work trip overnight. Staff nice and welcoming. Had a bar meal when I arrived which was good, I could of used the restaurant but as I was alone didnt bother so I cant comment on the quality in there. Good hearty breakfast the following morning. Ideal for the ferry to Orkney island, would use again if in that... More

We picked The Ferry Inn on the strength of a meal in the restaurant earlier in the year - and a November weekend "3 nights for 2" deal - to which we added a fourth to suit our stay, visiting family nearby. The front of the Inn is perhaps a bit unprepossessing, but this is the end of the road... More

Stayed here for a night with my son and our dog. Our room was small but well equipped and immaculately clean, with lovely BIG towels..... I can't stand being given skimpy towels! Great Scottish breakfast, although I would have liked some fruit if it had been offered. To those who have complained about the noise - I had a room... More

Stayed with our friends the night before we took boat to Orkney. Really impressed with the high level of service and warm welcome by staff Held up in traffic so arrived after kitchen closed but still made to feel welcome and served wonderful meals! Breakfast cooked to order with a full range Can honestly say best value and best service... More

On arrival to the area we were concerned about our choice of accommodation, but that was quickly dismissed when we got to our room. It had everything we needed, was very clean and had a great shower. We had a fabulous night in the bar downstairs where the service (thanks Donna), and food were excellent. The night was one of... More

On entering Scrabster we were a little concerned re the working port. The Ferry Inn was a pleasant surprise. All the rooms we saw were modern and very clean. Beds were comfortable. We dined in the bar which served a good meal. They also have a restaurant which we thought was a little pricey. Breakfast was great. A large selection... More

The Ferry Inn is exactly what you would expect - a place to stopover while waiting for the ferry. The staff are helpful and the rooms are cosy. Beware the pricing arrangements for the rooms, as I became aware that some rooms which are bigger and with a better view may (for some bizzare reason) cost less than yours. I... More

Perfect hotel for staying over & catching the ferry first thing in morning after long drive up. The rooms are very clean & homely. Really nice. Altho i would like to say the monday night we stayed it was hot so we had opened the windows & some drunken idiot kept shouting top of his voice for about an hour... More

had to find somewhere to stay for a night before catching the Ferry to Orkney. Plenty parking right next to the ferry. Room was very comfortable, dinner excellent but breakfast disappointing - very poor choice and no fruit at all
