An ancient building means small rooms, no AC, and a noisy environment but luckily it has modern bathrooms. The service here is not accommodating but they fill up all the time with tourists who want to say they have slept in a 15th century building. Once will be enough for this tourist.

Lovely little half timbered building on the main Markt in this very historic town center of Marburg. Quite a ride to get up there, but once you're there, it's worth the drive through narrow and busy shopping streets. This restaurant was recommended for traditional german dishes, and also for it's location at the central square of the old town of Marburg. I had a good meal, but service we terribly slow, I had to ask 3 times for a second drink and only got it a long time after I finished my meal.

A very atmospheric small establishment opposite the Rathaus on the main square in the old town. Immaculately clean and well-decorated rooms above the restaurant (which is on two floors).
