I have to agree with most people here, the Intercity Hotel in Kassel is simple but adequate. The best things about it is that it's right next to the ICE (long-distance trains) station. Also very close to the fantastic Wilhelmshohe park and water fountains. The hotel gives you a free day ticket for the local buses and trains. More

Stayed for 2 nights in July. Room clean and small, but adequate for two. Steps from the ICE station and conveniently on major bus and tram lines. Tram/bus day pass was included. Not the hotel I would take if wy wife was joining, but this is a very good and efficient business hotel. Clean, quiet, eventhough straight next to the station, rooms are OK. If you are lucky, you have free parking, but the parkinglot is very small. Dencent breakfast, and friendly staff. More

Stayed 2 days with colleagues, rooms are small but clean, same stands for bathroom. It's one of the cheapest location in Kassel, next to the train-station, so didn't have high expectation. But the hotel was fine, slept well, does the job if you need a basic (and non-central) location. More

This hotel has an excellent location in case you are travelling by train. The ICE train station Wilhelmshöhe of Kassel is situated practically right at the doorstep.
