I stayed one night in this hotel. It is nice, room was big, bathroom was modern and nice too. I had room with balcony, quick free wifi. There are no free plugs in the room so if you want to charge your phone, you must unolug either lamp, tv or minibar.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the property is fraying around the edges, but we felt that it contributed to the hotel's charm. Our room was on the first floor and was huge, with high ceilings and a bathroom large enough to have room for a couple of pieces of exercise equipment. It's location is in a quiet neighborhood that... More

What can I say. Old Building. No lift. 41 steps to room. The room if you are tall standing in the bathroom bay cause you problem. The wash basin was in the bedroom. Some of the room have no en suite. The staff were nice and helpful . The breakfast was fine Location good It is a quaint hotel some... More

To be frank from the start, this hotel has history (former villa of the chief Binding brewer), it has an excellent location to go to town by public transport or even walk to the famous apple wine restaurants, easy parking in front of the house and family style ambience. Your key is just hnging on a board at the entrance... More

This hotel is an old mansion, with a rather faded early 20th century feel. It offers huge rooms and bathrooms, very good prices, and the optional breakfast is excellent (little choice, but everything in abundance, beautifully served). Very quiet location yet also central - trains and trams close by and a pleasant walk into the centre if one feels like... More

The hotel is located in a quiet side street, few minutes walk to subway station and closest restaurants. Rooms seem to be all different in size and decor. Lack of WiFi was a major setback, but it kind of goes with the old surroundings.

Other than the narrow bathtub, this hotel was a nice change of pace! It was old and full of character! The room was large and clean, and the staff was very nice and professional! It was also in a great neighborhood and parking was a snap!

Close to the Sudbahnhof station (5 mn) this hotel has : Positive points : Huge bedroom and bathroom, parking free, nice atmosphere. Negative points : The bath was not so clean (hair !),the decoration needs work refreshing, bathroom products are very limited a small shampoo and soap that's all. The breakfast is limited : No eggs/no water.

I love staying at this hotel, we stayed here over 25 years ago and not much has changed. It is nice to return to Frankfurt and find you can still get some of the old world flavor of the past. It is in walking distance of almost everything in the city,if you do not mind walking about 20 minutes, or ten... More

If you are in Frankfurt for a very short relatively affordable stay, this might be an option for you. The building doesn't have an elevator. You need to make your way up by a curvy steep staircase with your heavy suitcases. The rooms have quite outdated and tacky design. Towels were provided by strict rationing. The breakfast is limited to... More
