This is a great and inexpensive option just behind the main shopping street (Zeil) In Frankfurt. I paid approximately £31.00/ €35.00 on a promo offer here and for the price paid, this was very good value! Nearest U/S Bahn Station is Konstablerwache, and it is about 2.5km from the main Hauptbahnhof. Was given a twin room on the 2nd Floor... more

Hotel location was good,we choose this hotel because of the chain"best western",but it was our worst experience .the minute we entered 4th floor,it smelt like urine, and when we entered our room, the carpet was filthy,u cant put ur bare feet on the carpet, our kids age was 8,12 and 13,but they didnt gave us a connecting room.thank God its on the same... more

Upon arrival, front desk staff helpful. Single room was small but nicely maintained and clean. Very basic furniture in room...nothing fancy and totally alright for the price. My only problem was the size of the shower...very very very small to the point one can barely move. When bfast is not included..hotel will charge EUR 11. Close to train station Konstablerwache..easy... more

Me and a friend booked this hotel after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. Being 2 females, our aim was to find a decent hotel in a safe area in central Frankfurt within walking distance of the Christmas Markets. And that is exactly what we got. The hotel is small. OK, the rooms are simply furnished - think Travelodge/Premier Inn. OK,... more

The hotel was difficult to find and parking is impossible. Thankfully, they allowed us to leave our car right outside the front door all night! Comfortable, clean room, but disappointed breakfast was not included. They wanted 13 euros for bfast. But, there is a fantastic bakery right across the street, so we just went there each morning and saved at... more

I stayed in this hotel for only one night. It was a simple hotel, but the reception was very friendly and efficient. The location was quite central. The room again, was simple but sufficient. They told me that they would get me an iron and ironboard in the morning, I was a bit sceptical, but they delivered it at 07:00!!!... more

I stayed at the Frankfurt La Scala for 4 nights in august 2008 during a business trip on the advice of other colleagues. This hotel is NOT appropriate for business travelers at all! For budget travelers, fine but nothing else. the lobby is currently under construction so check in is in the breakfast room. Check in was okay. My room... more

Overall: This hotel is a modest 3 star hotel that provides excellent value for your money. Facilities: This hotel has one elevator in its small lobby and a restaurant area partly below ground at at ground level. It only has for rooms per floor. It has a small circular driveway sufficient for parking and offloading luggage. They are not fussy... more

Clean basic but rather small rooms. Rooms come with hair dryer in room, but no iron - you need to ask front desk for iron. Standard rooms come equipped with a fan. Go for the upgrade to comfort rooms for air conditioning! Service is limited. Breakfast for additional $13 Euros is reasonable. Location is safe and excellent. 2 blocks from... more

Had a fifteen hour layover between flights in Frankfurt airport and wanted to have a place to sleep and perhaps do some sightseeing. Scala was perfect place, if you call they can rent room for 55 Euro for the day (usually getting in before 2 pm or staying after 12 pm means two day rate). Rooms are airy and clean,... more
