Stayed at this hotel at the beginning of May, it is very basic, on the plus side, it was clean, no air conditioning, the lifts could be heard quite clearly inside our room and we found it rather noisy, the food was ok and we had plenty of choice for our "American breakfast" as long as you like your breakfasts... more
Having booked a cheap hotel, I didn't have high expectations. However, City Hotel Mercator was lovely. From outside, it doesn't look like anything much. But inside, you'll meet the friendly reception staff, take a lift or stairs up to your room and then be surprised at how such a nice room could cost so little.
