Having been to Frankfurt on several occasions, I booked the Intercontinental as I knew the location was very good. It's situated very close to the Main Station, alongside the river, and as I arrived very late (around 11.30pm) I didn't want to have to travel far to check-in when I got off the train from the airport. Check-in was very... more

The location is very good, close to the main train station and the old city and Romer. The river view from the rooms is beautiful. Breakfast was very high quality and staff are also very friendly. The downside is that the rooms are a little old and small but my overall summary is very positive. I would come here again. more

I had gone on official work to Frankfurt. We were booked at this hotel by our organization. The stay was good from the very first minute...we were greeted by the doorkeeper (a pakka blue-eyed blond German if ever there was one!) in Hindia with a cool "Namaste"! Our hearts warmed (our bodies were freezing...Jan in Frankfurt is frightfully cold!), we... more

If you'r in Frankfurt, and on business- This is amongst the best place you can stay! Everything is just great.. Rooms are average size for a European hotel. Lobby is well maintained, and looks like a social gathering place during evenings (when i stayed there during an exhibition). This is more so because wi-fi internet is free only in the... more

Reserved a delux room and got a high floor corner with a river view - spectacular view of river and city skyline. Room was excellently furnished. Walking in the first time got a WOW! However, the facility has an old style central heating/cooling system so you only get one or the other depending on the season. There is no thermostat... more

We stayed here for two nights in May. Wasnt our first choice but there was a trade fair in town and no other hotels wanted to book us for just two nights. They put us in the annex across the street. DONT LET THEM PUT YOU THERE. It was clearly a budget hotel in its earlier incarnation. It was not... more

Visiting relatives in Frankfurt for 5 days, wanted to find a place that fit our needs and read the reviews on the Hotel prior to our booking it. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the location is great, walking distance form the central train station, the river banks with the museums and the center of the city. There... more

I have stayed InterContinental Frankfurt in early March, 2009. I'm a Gold Ambassador member and still had a weekend night free coupon expiring by April, then I decided to stay here to burn the coupon, booked a club level room. I've been upgraded to the corner suite on the club level 20F, where is just under the club lounge on... more

I stayed three nights for a conference. Rate was 199 euro/night. Room was comfortable. Could not close curtains fully but not a problem as not overlooked. Smell of sewer gas in bathroom - told management, it went away but returned that night. That would put me off booking again, but they did stress I could have any other room at... more

The hotel is OK, but if you purchase by a discount site you will get a 3 star room, not 4 star as advertised. When I checked in, I was offered a 20 euro upgrade--sometimes I take these offers for an upgraded room, but this time, when I declined, I was given an inferior room in a building across the... more
