I usually don't write review, but, this hotel is not the pictures you see here, it's one block from red light section, not a safe neighborhood, our room smell like a ash tray, the room is dirty and dusty, the carpet is old and not even installed, they just lay another carpet on the old one. we can hear next... Needed a bed close to the railway station as I had an early train. Walking from the station to the Carlton takes all of 2 minutes so it was perfect. The area around the hotel might be a bit scary for some. Check in was friendly and professional. My room was facing inwards to the courtyard so it was nice... More

With some trepidation i approqached this three star hotel. I had chosen it because it was one of the cheapest hotels in the Bahnhosviertel (main station area) and I was arriving at around 23.00. For 49 euros I got 24 hour reception and breakfast. the hotel was easy to find (under 5 minutes from the station on foot), the welcome... More

The location of the hotel is very ambiguous. It is located near the Frankfurt Hauptbanhof. It is in the center of the city. But there are only asian shops in the area. I saw only few germans in the street. I don't like to back in the hotel in the evening. The hotel is small. The reception is tiny. The... More

The Hotel was very nice. But if they offer anything free like breakfeast it's not free. For two meals we had to pay $48.00 for 2 eggs, bacon, sauage and they wasn't completely cooked. We didn't know we were charged for the meal until we checked out. If your wanting something good to eat and not cost so high go... More

I stayed in Carlton hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from the central train station of Frankfurt in Karlstr. It is owned by an Iranian guy and the lady at the front desks speaks English, Polish, German and Persian fluently. The Bahnhof area is known as the red light district of Frankfurt and... More

This hotel was quite borderline--it's faded, but clean; located near the station and slightly away from some of the grottiness of the area. Still, when my request to extend my stay was replied to with a condition of tripling the rate, I didn't exactly start to consider the joint a home away from home. Rooms are clean but quite spartan,... More

The Carlton hotel was selected by my partner and myself for a stay whilst visiting an exhibition at the Frankfurt Messe. The location was excellent, just across the road from the railway station and a 15 minute leisurely walk to the exhibition centre with an option of a tram or metro ride there if the weather was bad. The price... More

My partner and I stayed at the Carlton Hotel for 1 night in May 2008. We only stayed in Frankfurt for 1 night as our plane arrived there & it was a short stop before heading to Berlin. The hotel is in a great location. It is 2 minutes walking from the main train station, so if you arrive at... More

Stayed in the hotel, because got a good price. The location of the hotel is close to the railway station, which is naturally very practical for train travellers, but the area itself is not the best Frankfurt can offer with its drug-addicts and alcoholics. The high-rise center is less than 1km away. Everything in the hotel expect the breakfast room... More
