The Monopol Hotel is located directly next to Frankfurt’s central train station. A perfect site for a trip to Frankfurt, with various forms of public transportation and taxis directly in front of the entrance. The classic facade and a lobby furnished in an impressive antique style are what makes the hotel very worthwhile. The rooms have comfortable beds, a bathtub,... More

Very good hotel with large rooms. Breakfast included in our price and excellent All staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants close by and reasonably priced. Sights within town centre only a ten minute walk from the hotel. Ask for a room on corner of hotel if possible as these seem to be the largest rooms.

Great location just situated in the south side of Frankfurt Hbf. You can easily access to every corner of the city, just 1-2 metro station to the shopping centre of Frankfurt. The hotel is with an old building both in its exterior outlook and interior design. However, room of this budget hotel is equipped with everything you need. Free wifi,... More

The hotel lobby has a well preserved old-world charm with chandeliers and marble, broad staircases and a friendly ageing barman behind the bar. The quality of everything was surprisingly good: the breakfast, afternoon tea, the rooms, the beds and the bathroom. Extras, minibar, breakfast and tea were all included in the roomrate of €90 which I think is a bargain.... More

I stayed in this hotel as the location is convenient and it is Just next door to main haupbahnof. I have stayed in their other property excelsior also and my suggestion would be to stay in excelsior as compared to this one. The excelsior is a 3* hotel as they say but I would rate as a 2* deluxe but... More

Every two years I stay in Frankfurt for a week for a trade show and this year stayed at the Hotel Monopol. It's billed as a 4 star and although nice, I think it's maybe a 3 star at best. Rooms were comfortable and fairly clean but the place is a little tired. Staff are very friendly though and the... More

This is not a 4 star hotel. Paid €350 per night for a room which is like a b&b. Not clean and needs updating dirty rooms. The breakfast area is terrible with dirty table covers and napkins. I would rate this hotel as a 2 star and would never think of staying here again.

This hotel is right across the street from Frankfurt central train station, the location is close to everything. lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Well stocked free mini bar, free Wi Fi, and free good breakfast. I would stay at this hotel again, and would recommend it to my friends.

Stayed here from 17-20 July. Hotel is incredibly well located, right next to the main train station. Free afternoon tea/coffee and cake is served in the lobby for most of the day and there is a free minibar (yes, with beer!) in each room is an excellent bonus. Breakfast was nice and the waiting staff were very attentive. Tea and... More

We stayed here overnight to break our journey from England to northern Germany. What a delightful hotel. For the money we paid, I cannot fault our visit. On check in we were met by a lovely receptionist who was both friendly and helpful, and directed us to a nearby supermarket (even drawing a map for us) I wish I had... More
