Just good for a quick stop-over/visit to FRA. On a budget, it is a reasonable option. Steps away from the Central Station and close to the river so you can reach most of central Frankfurt and Museums area by feet. Yet the area is a bit dodgy (but not unsafe). Rooms are basic but functional, modern, clean and well-maintained. WLAN... More

The hotel was good value at 60 Euros a night for three of us. The area close to the main station is noisy and not the safest of areas, particularly if you wander in to the red light area. Breakfast was an extra 6 euros and was plentiful with more than you could eat and drink. The room was large... More

Booked through bookings.com. 200 € a night outrageous for what we received. Breakfast not included . On our reservation was indicated check in 9 oclock. When we arrived at 10 the unfriendly woman at reception made us feel awful for arriving so early and said 9 oclock check in meant we could wait in the reception until room was ready.... More

I spend three days in this hotel at the end of October 2013. The price and the location are OK. The rooms are clean, but refurbishment is strange and old. I will not go there again, unless the conditions are same as during my trip - I needed budget hotel, within 24 hours, during high fair season in Frankfurt.

No parking; no parking close-by; staff didn't know any better; room was beyond minuscule and VERY noisy. I checked out of the hotel after 45 minutes there and went elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, book elsewhere.

I stayed in the Standard Single Room (with a private bathroom) for three consecutive nights. For this kind of room price, I think the room is reasonable and acceptable. The room is small, but everything works fine. The free Wi-Fi signal in the room works great, but notice that the system allows only one device to register for the Wi-Fi... More

The hotel is only a few feet from the South entrance of the Frankfort train station (across the street and around the corner). The people at the front desk were very helpful and anything they didn't know they looked up on the computer. It is walking distance from most of the main sights in the "old" city. I liked the... I can see the logic behind the design of the hotel. The reception area looks modern and great for the price but the room! The room was awful. The cleanliness was questionable and the walls were filthy. Everything looked grubby and cold. If the paint and furniture were maintained then the hotel would look really smart but instead it just... I have stayed at the Colour Hotel for five years now, for the Frankfurt Book Fair. The ‘normal’ price for a room (outside the main Fair dates) is very reasonable, and even during the madness of Fair days the price is still reasonable compared with other places in Frankfurt. Good things: Great location by the Hauptbahnhof, and only 3 minutes... More

Looking at the website for this hotel it is clear that the sell themselves as a "hip" and "modern" hotel. All though the location right next to the Hauptbahnhof is great, I can not find any other good things to say about this hotel. Considering you pay a minimum of 90 EU/night, one would expect a certain standard. I was... More
