Stayed here with my daughter to visit the Xmas market. Hotel was clean and the breakfast adequate. Not too keen on area, but it was close to the railway station. We had a lovely large room, with double glazing which kept down the noise of the trams. A bit disappointed that the bar was closed on Saturday nights, that was... More

Stayed for a week on our visit to the Christmas markets. Very close to Central Station,Underground and Trams for visits all over the city. First impression is that it is gloomy in the reception area however this is due to all the dark wood. Reception staff are very helpfull and there are two computer there for visitors to use. Wi... Stayed her last two days in Germany visiting Christmas Markets. We had a very large room by European standards. The breakfast was uninteresting based on past experience in similar hotels. Not worth the 10 Euros. Charged 15 Euros for 2 hour early check-in. Staff was helpful and WIFI was good in the room.

No wifi in the rooms. Room I was allocated was dirty and had not been made up - they were good enough to change my room immediately and to a larger room , which was good as I had booked a single room and from what I saw of it I would have developed claustrophobia . Expensive for the quality.

Very centrally located hotel with walking distance from the central station. The hotel is basically OK with nice and gloomy reception and bar, and german "TUV-approved" std rooms. The parking is a bit awkward but they are helpful in the reception to move the 5 or so cars that locked your way out. There is walking distance to most central... More

The National Hotel is an older converted hotel, that slowly modernizing its facilities. The rooms were reasonably furnished with a decent wardrobe and desk, with new televisions, and pretty new bathroom facilities. The rate included breakfast, which is served in a very nice breakfast room. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Hauptbahnhof, making it helpful for travel outside... More

Stayed at the National Hotel in September 2013 for four nights. Its an older converted hotel, that is slowly modernizing its facilities. The rooms were average in size, but seemed to me, strangely laid out. (A twin room had its beds arranged in one long line along the wall of the room.) However, the rooms were reasonably furnished with a... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, particularly if you are not driving during your stay. The station is less than a 5 minute walk away, and the location is perfect to walk to most tourist sites frankfurt has to offer. Rooms are average sized with the bathroom feeling quite spacious. The decor is quite dated which makes the hotel... More

Can't think why I forgot to review this hotel when we returned to Australia in 2012. Better late than never, then. The best thing about this property is the location - right across the road from the central train station. the lobby area is large and welcoming and the staff are just brilliant. Access to all the city has to... More
