Stayed here one night. We arrived later after noon to a very pleasant looking building. It was not easy for us to find but then we are a couple of distracted old men. We were greeted by a very friendly woman who as to our luck spoke english. She could not find our reservation, but then once again being old farts it was our fault. It was under my name not my husbands. The woman assisting us was very gracious about it all. We got our room and just sat for a few minutes. It is a small room as are most in Europe. It had a wonderful large window looking over the calm yard attached to this hotel. The beds were kind of hard, but not enough to makes one body hurt. The bathroom has all that one needs. The shower ran well at a decent temperature, although the water is so soft it actually tickled me. The room comes with a continental breakfast of which we did not partake only because we just were not up to it and wanted to get going. The parking was easy and close. Very nice woman, very nice hotel. Clean and safe.…

Stayed several times - always a good welcome. Unfortunately the neighbours are doing work in their garden at the moment which entailed a tractor being started soon after 7.30am. It ran for about 5 minutes and stopped - was it really necessary for them to wake the hotel guests. A slight irritant but not the hotels fault. My room happened to be nearest the noise. This is a very friendly and helpful hotel with a good buffet breakfast.

Room was at second floor so be ready to haul your luggage. There is coffee and refreshments available at every floor. Ok for short visit. Parking outside in the street is possible, they have a garage but I did not use it.

Friendly guesthouse not far from Blankenese station. The breakfast suited me well, a nice choice of fruit, cold meat and cheese and very good rolls. Unfortunately no decaffeinated coffee - a few instant decaffeinated coffee sachets (as with the choices of teas) would have been good. The room was adequate for one but a bit dark. One could help one self to tea and coffee from machines on each floor which was nice. I believe there is internet but i did not manage it but I suspect that was just me.

A good room, spotlessly clean with unobtrusive and helpful staff coupled with a quiet and leafy location made for a very pleasant stay. Hamburg's superlative public transport right outside the door made for a great few days. The guesthouse has free wifi and car parking although we did not require it. Busses pass by half hourly to the ferries to the city or to the metro trains - great services at modest cost.

Good: simple, modern, clean, comfortable guest house, perfect for an autonomous stay without frills; good rooms & beds, not large/luxurious, but silent and we slept very well; Free and fast WiFi; the village Blankenese is beautiful and it's a few minutes walk down to the Elbe river Ok: Be aware location is not Hamburg; calculate ~30min to downtown; to the next metro station it's quite a walk => come by car, parking is no problem; Pricing fits into the Hamburg price landscape, nevertheless it's not a bargain... (this triggered my overall rating, which was close to 4 stars) To be improved: Nothing of relevance for this kind of hotel concept

This little hotel is clean, convenient for walking through the Treppenviertel and offers a decent breakfast. The rooms are very small however and the amenities are minimal. And if you are looking for a five star bed, this is not the hotel for you. However for a hotel in a major city, the cost was reasonable. If you want to be near public transportation that is not a bus, this might not be for you. It's a ten minute walk to the train station and I wouldn't want to do it with luggage. We stayed here as our friend got married at the Witthus down the road and that was only a five minute walk away.

I found this place almost by accident, while attending a function in the sister establishment, the Elb Lounge. This is a classy B&B in a residential area of town, with friendly staff. It is very quiet, providing a good night's sleep. There are a few restaurants a 5 minute walk away, and the S-bahn is also 5 minutes away and takes 20 minutes to the city centre. Only one drawback: For us brits, there are no English TV channels. (I had NBC for a while, then it switched to German). An affordable touch of class, with easy access to the city.

I have recently stayed during my visit to Hamburg and found to be nice small hotel or a guest house as they say. The room in which i stayed was small but good for single person but the important thing i liked was direct excess to terrace . Hence during summer time you can enjoy . Also they have reasonably good breakfast. The problem i faced was that wifi was good in the lobby but in the room it was difficult surf.

We stayed at this hotel in January 2013 for two nights, our party comprising of two adults and a baby. The rooms are modernly furnished and are full of nice touches. These included well thought out bedding (a textured bed sheet and good UK-style pillows which do not need folding over), a towel set for our baby, a selection of shower gels/shampoos, little chocolates by the beds, fresh flowers all over the place, tea/coffee/water/fruit available on tap, and the list goes on. There is a secure parking garage but with only 9 spaces, so get in there quick! The breakfast is of a continental style and is very good for only €7. Very minor negatives are a couple of cobwebs on the ceiling and the silly orange chairs in the rooms - whoever picked them out clearly has more artistic flair than sense. I'm nitpicking here though and my wife is insisting that I add that she indeed liked the dodgy chairs! Very good and we will be returning.…
